Grayscale Maps

I was wondering about a map that was made on a Gray scale (mainly black and white, though).

I think it could look really neat if pulled off right, but I was wondering what any of you thought.

Oaktown already sort of did it:

Granted, it's Sepia, but it's still monochrome.

Anyway, a black and white map could work, but not if being black and white is the only thing going for it. You need to think up a proper idea of a theme that a black&white image will work for. Sort of like what Oaktown did.
