My next map project

So Quad Cities is moving along fine and I've shelved the Iowa map indefinitely. So I'm looking towards my next idea and right now I have two.

1. The OC - the map would encompass Orange County, CA. OC has around 40-some incorporated cities and CDPs and there are various parks, rivers, mountains and airports that serve as nice impassables for the area. It could make for a very interesting map.

2. Megalopolis - More specifically the classic Northeast Megalopolis of Boston to DC. The map would have this large urban conglomeration with all the major cities contained within (Boston, NYC, Philly, Baltimore, DC). While rather linear I have thought about incorporating the Amtrak line through here as well as ocean ferries to allow more non-adjacent inter-regional attacks. Airports could be another option for this as well.

I posted a poll to get input on what you guys think.

Between the two, I like the Megalpolis idea.

Yeah, I'm feeling option two... its kind of a unique take on the whole cities style of maps and I think it might be quite cool.

I think I'm gonna do Megalopolis then. I've done some rough early design work and right now I have 7 regions for this: Boston, Providence, Hartford, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington.

I'll work on this more over the next week and have something to show everyone.
