Four color theorem map?

On most maps, most territories in a region are adjacent to each other.

How about a map that does the total opposite: no 2 territories in a
region are adjacent.

IE, a map colored per the 4-color theorem where each color is a region.

Map with 4 bonus zones that are impossible to defend?

How do you think the games would play out?

Not *impossible* to defend, just difficult. I'd be interested in seeing how people strategized for something like that.

Yes, impossible.

A map should have at least 24 territories. So let us assume we have that. This makes each bonus area 6 territories, and you have to defend every single territory - all are borders, remember, all border other bonus areas?

So you have a map with 24 territories, divided to 4 bonus areas, each having 6 territories and 6 borders to defend.

How exactly would you defend a bonus area like that?

Again, I pose the question, how do you image the games would play out? When you are thinking about a map idea, don't just think "this would be cool to make a map of", think a bit further; imagine yourself playing a map like this, then figure out if it's a good idea or not.

Include some impassible borders, maybe? That could help to have less territories to defend against. It does require a lot of additional thought, though.

One strategy would be to have many troops on your own territories so the bordering territories couldn't attack? As opposed to occupying the bordering territories.

I'd still like to put one together for beta and see how it playtests.

That's not how it works.

this has potential on a larger map, though I will need to see a picture of what it may look like for better perspective.
