NFL Football Map

Basic map layout: United States (minus Alaska and Hawaii)

Each territory would be an NFL team (in its respected state). States with multiple teams would have multiple regions. Simple map but could be a lot of fun.

Only issue I can think of is NFL copyright infringment?

Yes, that is a rather big issue.

I'm not quite sure what to think of this sort of map, because we do kind of have enough maps of the U.S., but on the other hand, Football is pretty awesome.

I can't really take credit for this idea because it is exactly same as the baseball one, I was just too "in the zone" to look at his thread before posting mine!

Maybe we can make up teams...instead of the Chicago Bears, it would be the Chicago Polar Bears (ideas like that).

THIS ONE JUST STRUCK ME! New England Patriots ----> New England Loyalists hahahaha

I proposed a similar thing in the Baseball thread. Another advantage of inventing our own league is that we can put teams anywhere -- nor are we limited to exactly 32 territories.

But then, in the end unless there's some sort of gameplay gimmick, it's just another standard USA map, isn't it? There's a bit of theme originality but that's not much to merit a whole new map.

I will brainstorm on this and attempt to draw up some ideas.

Maybe instead of NFL teams, I can make the "Superbowl" map. It could be a stadium with a field and each region could be every X amount of yards, bonuses for touch downs, stuff of that nature.

Well, the thing with fake baseball teams is that, who the hell wants to play it anymore? I mean, a player from Boston wouldn't have any loyalty to the Boston Red Gloves, would they?

I like the idea of the United States of baseball or what have you, but I think it only works as well as having the real teams and the real logos.
