Dart game map

The idea is a dart board, and the objective is to hold red or blue areas. It has impassable borders and eight possible starting positions (like New World or Feudal War maps) which are 2;3;6;7;10;11;14;15 from the dark purple ring. The bonus has a particularity. It is, every 5 points 1 bonus (possible to change).
Each area of each ring is predetermined score. At the beginning of the round score is added for each territory controlled by the player.

Red and Blue zones will have 10 neutral troops at the beginning and the rest 3 troops.

I think this is an ideal map for a fog of war game, but without it could be interesting.

That doesn't mean it can't be tried again!

Well, I think it's not exactly the same Idea as Silent Killer proposed. It has 40 territories, is diferent the way to get a bonus, impassable borders and starting positions, and has the "red or blue" objective! What I mean is that I think it has a diferent way for playing.

Diagonal attaks are not allowed (see the screws? Perhaps must change them for something more bigger :/ )

I say give it another shot. I like the gameplay of this one a lot better than the previous idea, though perhaps, Sudoku, you could copy some of those graphics cause they were great.

I think the screws and metal impassibles ought to be symmetrical throughout the map as well, because it kind of looks strange as is.

What you say with the grafics sounds more like: "use a real dart board!" lol Maybe your right, but dont want to do a exactly copy of the another one but with some diferences... I will work on that and with symmetricality too. Perhaps for this weekend I will post a new version

Is not finished, it's like a beta version.. the drawing is based on the standard but not following the corresponding colors..
    84 territories
    The respective bonuses are:
    • 1 point
    • 2 points
    • 5 points
    • 10 points
    • 20 points
The impassable metal is now symmetrical
Diagonal attacks not allowed

I'm not sure if allowing diagonal attacks is a good idea.. What I mean is that there are many territories with 9 fronts with diagonal attacks!

Try using the [bigimg][/bigimg] tags so we can see the map without having to click on it. :)

Ok! Found a grammatical mistake! =P

map caracteristics:
  1. 84 regions
  2. Starting positions: Outer green 1; Outer green 5; Outer green 6; Outer green 10; Outer green 11; Outer green 15; Outer green 16; Outer green 20;
  3. Diagonal attacks: allowed. Finally decided in favor of them becuase it gives more possibilities for the player to perform diferent tactics, specially at the beginning!
  4. Impassable borders
  5. Red or Blue objective!

If this is your large image, then the troop numbers won't fit the smallest territories in the small version.

When making your large map, try viewing it at 75% zoom so you'll see how it looks like as the small version. Then you'll know if the territories are big enough.

Ok, I will fix it! And I found a little error, lack inner green bonus. It would be
  • Outer green 1 point
  • Outer white 2 points
  • Midle green 5 points
  • Inner white 10 points
  • Inner green 20 points
  • Red or Blue 40 points

Hope this big is ok, I know the only problem is with inner green ring where is not space. Maybe a solution could be deleting some but the inner you are the more points you get equal more troops, so I think that taking off some territs from inner green would be a big mistake

Can't you use the impassable metal from this design?
I like the metal much more then the design you currently use.

To be honest, I think that Silent Killer's idea for a dart board map (as linked to earlier in the thread) was far superior to this map. While the gameplay was far from perfect, it captured the essence of the game of darts - which imposing arbitrary impassable borders is not likely to do.

There is definitely a future for the idea, but the first real task is to capture something of the game that makes for good conquerclub gameplay too. I'd suggest making contact with Silent Killer to see if you could team up on the project?
