try adding thing step by step,
first take the basic map, u have countries here and try to color them to a feeling that u think is best for the map.
than u go on with adding mountains and such.
if u trow everything in at once it very diffucult to critique. so i suggest first do the coloring than add better mountain.
U however dont need to listen to me :p

Well that covers it, i would like to play this map only making it appealing goes in steps

Are you making a map of the Boer War, or Southern Africa?
The Boer War didn't actually take place over to the borders to the neighbouring countries to the North, I believe.

Maybe you could bring in the islands of St. Helena and Ceylon, where the concentration camps were based?
