This is why we havent decided yet, lol... so we would really like feedback. I will explain my point, but maybe its just a stupid idea, so let us know:
- As you see, the southern part is very strong. Australia is a very solid place to start, since you can reduce it to 1 border and prevent other players from taking Antarctica once you invade it. If the expansion goes well, the guy that dominates Australia would frequently win.
- I thought about provide a challenger: the guy holding India... but the guy holding India couldnt be thaaaat strong too, or the effect is the same. So India should be strong, but having a drawback. I thought about a negative bonus...
- If the negative bonus is soft, like -1 or even -2, the guy holding India could also dominate the other continents without problems... Giving it -3, the guy holding India needs to fight for dont let people taking those continents, but taking them in fact would be a disadvantage.
- In fact, giving it +2 for lonely bonus and -3 to each other continent would make it a good place to start, but making your expansion very very complicated. I think this would be something new, I would like to try it as new feature.
- To make it more interesting, I would connect Asia to northern portion of India. So this would be the connection between north and south, but giving India advantage and drawback. Like: would the guy holding Europe really use that path when trying to break Antarctica? Maybe the drawback would transform India in a type of Sacred Land, and we could add another connection...
Please, pleeeeease... feedback! Is that a good idea? Or we can have options: give it +2 but with a smaller negative like Kayla thinks (-1 or -2), give it a normal +1 bonus (remembering the south area would be strong), or make it part of Asia. I dont see many other options, but if you do, please share with us
Andy, why are you ignoring this map?
