This is why we havent decided yet, lol... so we would really like feedback. I will explain my point, but maybe its just a stupid idea, so let us know:

- As you see, the southern part is very strong. Australia is a very solid place to start, since you can reduce it to 1 border and prevent other players from taking Antarctica once you invade it. If the expansion goes well, the guy that dominates Australia would frequently win.
- I thought about provide a challenger: the guy holding India... but the guy holding India couldnt be thaaaat strong too, or the effect is the same. So India should be strong, but having a drawback. I thought about a negative bonus...
- If the negative bonus is soft, like -1 or even -2, the guy holding India could also dominate the other continents without problems... Giving it -3, the guy holding India needs to fight for dont let people taking those continents, but taking them in fact would be a disadvantage.
- In fact, giving it +2 for lonely bonus and -3 to each other continent would make it a good place to start, but making your expansion very very complicated. I think this would be something new, I would like to try it as new feature.
- To make it more interesting, I would connect Asia to northern portion of India. So this would be the connection between north and south, but giving India advantage and drawback. Like: would the guy holding Europe really use that path when trying to break Antarctica? Maybe the drawback would transform India in a type of Sacred Land, and we could add another connection...

Please, pleeeeease... feedback! Is that a good idea? Or we can have options: give it +2 but with a smaller negative like Kayla thinks (-1 or -2), give it a normal +1 bonus (remembering the south area would be strong), or make it part of Asia. I dont see many other options, but if you do, please share with us :)

Andy, why are you ignoring this map?

Take a good look at these. There's quite a few other ages worth looking at as well.

Ok, mates. Just to let you all know.

Me and Kayla had some misunderstandings. After I put many hours of effort in this project, she wants drop my version and start a completely new one. By the way, she still says this is her map, and her thread, and not ours. My participation in this one was already worthy to her, I think, because I teached her the 1st steps of map making. Anyway, I will continue the project, I wont drop my effort for nothing. I dont care it she still wants create her new version. I just expect she can change it enough, not using my borders, textures, etc.

Im going to start a new thread to continue the Pangea map creation. Thanks for understanding.

(By the way, there were another person working on this... wtf I was not knowing it? Now you can know a bit more about kayla, I suppose.)

haha ur a fuckin dipshit... the other person only picked out the names to replace ur stupid ones. and i was saying that i made the thread and map, and it was my idea so i actually wanted to do the work... he just did everything and would post things we didnt even go over, like it was his. I told him i didnt give a shit what he posted as long as we had went over it, because he posted some things i thought were stupid. such as the names, very stupid. I started on the map, he offered to help, i said sure, then he started working on all of it and posting things all the time, when i had no clue what he was doing. He totally overdid things acting like it was all his, and i got sick of his bullshit and told him to go away, thats the story. marv, u dont need to post here anymore, make your own thread and go whine to someone who cares.

Kayla - I am currently in the middle of making an Italy map and it alone is taking more time than I have to offer. I'm a father of a 4yr old, 2yr old, and 6 month old. Needless to say my time is limited. I really would like to finish the Italy map before I get involved with any others. I'm learning a lot of techniques from that map that will be useful when/if I take on another map.

I've always liked the concept of "Pangea" and thought it's a great idea for cc map. I'll keep watching the development here and maybe if I ever finish Italy, and you're still creating - I'll help out. I think you and Marv will work out your differences and create a kickass map. I like the latest with the round earth & space background. Looking good.

Later -
Rob.

NEW PANGEA MAP FROM ORIGINAL MAP MAKER [Abandoned]

alright i know its not done and not close, just curious on what you think... im not sure if i want the scroll for the legend since scrolls supposedly werent "around yet", yes i know, the trees were, but still... 90% of this has been made in about 3 days so im sure some areas im not seeing are not how they should be. if you find anything let me know.. im not sure if i want the space theme, i tried a jungle background but it just looked goofy  lol so suggestions on anything have to do with the map is welcome. constructive criticism only would be nice.. i dont want to get too far ahead on the map and then the scroll be a no go, so im pausing on the map til its decided, then ill have a new update the next day
~Kayla~

another thing, the amount of borders on each continent look good, but just curious what you all think.. if i should add mountains, rivers, etc... any thoughts on adding more appeal to it without it being "overdecorated" would be nice.. on the land of course.

one last thing. im thinking about having a neutral sea above india, to the right of africa, and above asia, (one sea) it was called the sea of paleo-tethys. i think it would make a prettier connection between northern and southern continents rather than just having lines. oh and if i should use the sea, should it have its full name or just sea of tethys? lemme know, im not going to be on as much now that college is back up again

So much better than Marvaddins. I think it should be The Tethys Sea. I think the legend should be on a rock slab, considering Scrolls were about 300 million yrs after Pangea. The space background is ok, since the earth obviously floated through space then, though when people think of Pangea, they usually don't think of space. Like most maps on conquer club, I think a few rivers, and mountains are needed to create obstacles, as well as something that hasn't been thought of yet, to set it apart from other maps. I don't like the negative bonus. I don't like it in USA Apocolypse, and I wouldn't like it on this map. I like the title and font. Anyway, it already makes Marvaddins look like trash, no offense to my clan leader of course.

I agree that a stone slab would rock... And obstacles are necessary.

Beyond that, I love it!

I cannot comment on playability since you have included no info about continent values and no potential impassable borders, but the south looks relatively strong with the 3 small continents there.

As for graphics, the background stars look very nice- it wouldn't make much sense to put in jungle for the background since this map is showing the whole planet from far away. If you want to show jungle I would get rid of the disc shape for the earth and have it as a translucent image over the sea (like the background in the Australia map for example).

As for the rest of your graphics- the land itself looks pretty good but I don't like the texture you have for the sea. I think the scroll would be an okay legend, but a stone slab would fit better with the prehistoric theme. The title needs some kind of outline or shadown to make it stand out against the sun and to highlight it where it crosses the ocean.

The continent colors look pretty good, but I think your red and orange are too similar, as are the pink and purple. They don't have to be changed much but I would differentiate them a bit more.

Looking good so far though!

sully, ive tossed the jungle theme, it looked STUPID lol... and i think the colors look different enough, the only reason they look somewhat similar is because the texture in the red area is orangish because its lighter than the red, all continnts do that, they are all lighter shades than the actual map. I do agree a rock might look better which is why im asking about it.. but i want some more input on it before i change it because then someone might say they like the scroll and i have to change it back, and it would just go back and forth, so im waiting on that. i think the texture of the ocean looks pretty good, but im sure i could find a better one... oh and the title, i also doubt thats permanent as well.. 90% of this has been done in 3 days so like i said, some areas probably arent the best hehe.... oh and sully, since you seem to be into responding in the map foundry, im curious what you think about the sea of tethys, yay or nay... it was an idea of jamies and i think its a pretty good idea but i dont want to make it and then most ppl say no... so we'll see... ive already mentioned impassable borders. im not sure it needs it but would give it much more appeal, so any suggestions on where they go? im going to ask about the negative bonus, i personally think the negative bonus should be 2, because 3 would be too much, especially since india is going to be worth 1 or 2... because until you got another continent, ud actually be losing men for having india, so id like to slow them down, without making it where no one wants india.. so maybe make india a bonus of 2 but include a negative bonus so its actually getting nothing until another one is conquered... hmmm... keep crticizing everyone, i need suggestions.
~Kayla~

oh and about the dino, i looked up almost every single dino i could think of and googled it, and actually googled just "dinosaur" and nothing that great looking came up, most were cartoons, plus i need a dino more vertical than horizontal, so this will have to do til someone shows me a better idea

background reminds me of starwars...

I'd like it better if orange was connected to pink, grey and red. First glance I would go for the easy red bonus (use the 1 blue territory to have 1 border to protect) then try for the easy grey bonus and pick up blue whenever the dice were good. Grey looks like it needs more of a challenge to hold or connect something else to red maybe.
