not sure i completely understand, unless this statement is explained in the rest of your post....

i'm reluctant to do this, mainly because it would make the hallways mostly interior, and that would create issues with the amount of space i have. also it means i would have to move the elevators and stairs. this would pretty much put me back to square one. but i'll try a few things and see what i can squeeze into the right side.

currently W.A. stands for "work area", but i feel it needs changing, i just can't think of anything basementy that would make a good bonus at this time.

moving it to the right seems harder than just dropping it down. but i see what you mean about the lobby needing to touch the "entrance". maybe i can just create an entrance like a foyer. and connect them somehow. i could do something like split hall 4 into seperate hallways. put the foyer in the middle and make it a resetting neutral or something.

The routing is explained with making the halls more inside the building. Now I also see the layout of the halls is different on the third floor. This is probably done to make the presidents office smaller. If you remove hall 4 or the kitchen then the middle block can be smaller too and fit in the same layout as the other two floors.

With bearing construction I mean the columns or walls that are supporting the building. They will have to be in the same place every floor. This doesnt mean all floorplans have to be the same but some more logic would make it more attractive for me. If you have columns for construction if would help to make a grid of 6 meters/20 feet for the rooms and 3 meters/10 feet for the halls.

ok, i have a new idea, but i'm going to have to completely change everything.

i'll start by putting the stairs and elevator right in the middle of the floorplan, then i 'll surround them with halls. and all along the edge of the building i'll put the rooms and offices and things.

personally, i liked my last floor plans, and since it was a fictional place, i didn't see the need to make it structurally sound. but the more i ponder on it, the more i'd like to see this "big" change. i hope to have a "new" draft up this weekend.

How about Boiler Room?

well, this is a very rough sketch of what i was thinking about. and personally i don't really like it. this would be the second floor.
after looking everything over, i'm pretty happy with my current floor plan, and don't have much want to to change it. now i guess if i get a tremendous outcry i will have to do something, but as for now i will stick to what i have. i don't mind changing little things, it's just i don't want to change the whole design again. because what i have now is pretty much the gameplay design that i like.

now, i do see how this sketch could work, but the problem is it messes up the basement. mainly the elevator and stairs position. and i really want to keep the basement the way it is. it also messes up the 3rd floor. i like the whole sauna and restroom area shape, and would hate to lose that. so i don't mind giving up some building stability to make my ceo's a bit more comfortable.

still, i don't mind changing things with a little more collaboration. it's just right now, i see things as being the way i want them.

thanks.

dear moderators,

it seems this idea has lost whatever steam it had at once. so i'm going to abandon it. feel free to put it wherever you put abandoned map ideas.

i've recently had some folks spark some interest on this map. i would like to see it through, and am willing to put more work on it. so i'll at least see how much energy it can reignite to see if it may be worth the efforts. it seems there has been quite an overhaul here in the foundry as far as organization. ( not a shot at anyone, just a personal observation ) so i'll give it a try again.

the main issue i had in the past is getting anyone to agree on my floor design. most people disagree with the location of the elevators. but i just don't like putting them in the middle. i can agree that most elevators are in the center of a building. but i'm sure if it's necessary i can find a 3 story building somewhere that has elevators on an exterior wall. mainly i'd like to keep my general floor shape and design. i'm fine with minor adjustments, but i just don't want to do another major overhaul. maybe the basement. but definatly not the upper floors.

as far as graphics go, i'm aware of their subparness. i can change it for the better once i get enough support for my current floor design. i'm mainly just fishing to see if i can get this thing back going or not.

so feel free to post thoughts, ideas, or your opinion of how far i may get with this.....

thanks :-^
