So I was told this is where to come to share ideas. I must thank koontz for giving me the link or I doubt I would have found it. I tried looking up if this topic has been covered yet but computers are not my thing so sorry if this is rehash. Anyway I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a historical map of say 1918 europe and 1 player gets to start as germany with a bias drop and the rest of the players are scattered about europe, you could even make the beginning drop based on factual numbers based on population/military ability etc. You could even have a different map for every year 1914-1918 and ww2 the same, could do the 10 greatest wars in history.

I was also thinking of a keyboard, refridgerator contents, and pieces of art like a picasso painting would make interesting visuals I think

I'm not good on the xml stuff although I understand some of it so I'm not going to say what practically can't be done, but it seems very uneven gameplay to make one player start with a bonus and the others just randomly everywhere. I think you would need some new settings to make that work. It's not going to be possible in the system we have today at CC. Sorry to break it to you.

well, it's possible to do that but it's not possible to have uneven teams. and i think he means to create a 1 vs 5 type of game or something. that's not possible, and i doubt it will ever be possible.

tho some ww1 themed map while having players spawn as countries is of course possible.

I am thinking of a 1 vs all scenerio. It doesnt have to start uneven in numbers just uneven control. But it is dependant on 2 things. The first being able to set 1 player "randomly" on a specific country(which I believe zimmah is saying is possible)and bonus control. Can you make recieving of bonuses dependant on invasion of a country. ie; you have to hold Germany and invade poland to recieve the bonus. Once you have recieved a bonus for poland you do not get it again unless it is taken over and you have to invade it again. Possibly that you have to hold poland for one turn to get bonus on next turn. All the other players would recieve bonuses as normal.

the problem is the "1vs all idea"! You can't make one map where this is possible. We'd have to create a whole new setting that we then can use on most if not all maps. It's not realistic to create a whole new setting simply because it would fit a single potential map. You need to have really good logical reasons as to why something like that would be worth investing time in. And even then it's not sure it's going to be implemented because there are plenty of great suggestions that haven't been implemented. But if you can find strong enough reasons I think you should post them in the suggestions part of the forum.

I've played around with the keyboard idea before, but couldn't find a way to make the gameplay interesting.

Refrigerator might be fun though.
