I'm trying out a new concept: a fairly small map and the continents have real large bonuses, and there are strongholds, where when they are defending(and only when they are defending), they get a +1 advantage on their dice rolls.( Got the idea from risk: Lord Of the Rings). My skills at doing these drawing on the computer skills are close to zero, but this is just a draft, after all.

*I tried blended the strongholds in with the surroundings so no more white boxes.
*I took the suggestion of echospree, and now airbases can only bombard strongholds

Wait, can we even code it so that a territory can get bonuses on dice rolls?

No. Bonuses are only assigned at the beginning of a player's turn, and CC does not currently have any dice adjustments in place. This would require a modification to the site's XML options, which you can request here...

Also, it looks like your image is 3000x3000 pixels? (Slow download, so didn't actually see the entire thing.) There are limits on map size, so for the basics you may want to read How To Make A Map.

They don't meet site qualifications but that can be worked on later in the process, hammer out your idea first

He just means get a few more ideas of what you think this map is going to be like. It's name, theme, how you're going to replace your idea for the fortress if they don't change the xml, etc.

Improving the gameplay, graphics (making the map a more reasonable size is a start)

Another thought:

You have your air-bases set to bombard ANY territory on the map. This will make holding bonuses close to impossible. Also, grabbing one of these in a foggy game will allow the player to see the ENTIRE map.

Limiting the territories the airbase can bombard is probably a good idea. You can limit them to bombarding only: strongholds and/or other airbases and/or territories within a certain range.

Don't worry TOO much about the graphics yet, you're just trying to drum up interest in the gameplay first, that's the most important part of a map.

EDIT:

You could keep the airbases as they are, if you want. But they would HAVE to start neutral in such a case, they're too powerful to just hand out to players.
