Havana, Cuban Missile Crisis, Bay of Pigs... some interesting themes could be drawn out from this.

Cuban Missie Crisis sounds like a good idea. There could be missiles and aircraft, etc. But if you intend to do this, there would be Soviet ships and the American blockade too. I am not too familiar with the crisis. Of course if you will make another map, the other ideas are good too. :)
