No, this isn't a joke, I'm not Coleman. Here's how it works (it's like the board game Othello):
-Territories can attack the four adjacent territories.
-If there is a line of squares (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) between two of your territories, you can attack any piece in that line. For example:

Blue can attack:
-D4 from E3, C5, F4
-E4 from C4
-D5 from C4, E6
and Red can attack:
-C4 from C6
-C5 from C3
along with the normal adjacent attacking.
Alternatively, instead of starting on the board squares, each player could start off with their own "pile", which can one-way attack every square on the board, like so:

Every square would start off neutral. The piles would lose an army each turn, to encourage players to put their troops on the board. The corners would have 5 neutrals, the edges would have 3, and the middle squares would have 1. Squares would no longer be able to attack adjacent squares. I don't know if this is possible, but players would be eliminated when their only remaining territory is their pile. If we can't do that, then just put a 50-neutral barrier connected to all piles. That way, when 1 player dominates the board, they can build up enough armies to break the barrier and wipe out the rest of the players (who are only getting 2 armies each).
Although this is probably the simplest-looking draft in Conquer Club history, I think the idea has potential. What do you think?
