Internet Technologies (idea/draft)

Postby FirefoxRocks on Sun Aug 03, 2008 2:15 pm

This will be my first map and I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing even though I've read the map handbook but I'm still confused on how to get it through the foundry.

I have made a rough draft on paper and drew a better (not "good") copy in Inkscape. Here are the specifications/requirements/details/blah blah blah:

Number of territories: 33
Number of continents: 7
Unique features: None (yet...)

Map is ‘inherently unique either in gameplay, location, or theme’.
Features compatible with the XML format (although not written yet).

A maps content must be the original work of the cartographer unless consent to use copyrighted works is gained. This is your responsibility.
- Not sure about trademarked names...
All sound advice must be followed unless a logical rebuttal by the cartographer or another member of the community is provided.
- Prepared to take any criticism
Host the image using Photobucket.com, imageshack.us, or something similar. The type of image file must be PNG, GIF, or JPEG.
For a map to be used for live play the cartographer must agree to the Conquer Club copyright agreement*.

what are all the thin black lines in the background for... they could be misconstrued as connections, so you should take them out.

ps. gameplay looks a little bland, and graphics can be greatly improved

I'll add a legend to explain and I'll brighten the dark lines to indiciate that they aren't connections. I'm not exactly the best at graphics, and this is my first copy.

dont think it will work, you used many copyright names like IE, Firefox etc.

Well instead of browsers, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should put there instead?
