Mad Libs

OK, so I've just had a brilliant idea. Remember those good ol' Mad Libs? Well here they come – to the CC forums (in a topic quite near to you).

Anyway, here's how I think this should work:

One person (me, for the first time around), will write a short story. It doesn't have to be anything crazy necessarily. Then decide on a nice amount of blanks, and categorize them.

Acceptable categorizations:
1. NOUN
1A. PLNOUN (for plural nouns; usually you need to specify when you have one)
2. VERB
3. ADJ (adjective)
4. ADV (adverb)
5. INT (interjection)
6. NAME (for the name of a person or other things that have names)
7. NUMBER (with specifications on what kind of number it is)

Prepositions, pronouns, articles, and other such words shouldn't be blanks. I personally don't like using NAME and NUMBER either. Also, you shouldn't specify the form of the word (tense, number, etc). Change the word to be grammatically correct when you insert it.

So I would post something like this: 1. NOUN

Then anyone can respond with any noun. Then I say 2. VERB, and someone responds with a verb, etc.

Got it? OK:
1. NAME

EDIT: Also, I've decided you can't give more than two words in a row, just to let others contribute.

Also, I think the writer of the story should decide on the next writer. Obviously that has to be someone who wants to do it.

No no, you don't quite get it...

I've written a mad lib, with my own blanks. So Mr. Burns works, but the next word is actually
2. Verb

Hey wait a sec... are you psychic?

The point of the game is that you don't know what it is until afterwards, when I reveal everything at once. It usually turns out to be pretty hilarious.

Oh, sorry. I guess I was being kinda slow.

So for 2. I'm using skip, since william answered first.

Yeah, I'll make it a rule that you can't answer more than 2 consecutive words.

And be a little more... out there... with your words. The wackier, the better.

Actually the limit is two. But Inkl0sed should use your noun anyway, it's better.

Oh sorry, I thought it said you can't answer two in a row but I obviously made a mistake.

When I say NOUN, don't make it plural unless I say it should be (like I will in a sec). Just FYI.

It's inserted as a singular.

8. Plural Noun
