Immunology Mafia: Day 7 Return of the Mod!

Our bodies really are disgusting places. Billions of microscopic organisms swarm over, and in, and through, every centimeter of our body: bacteria, mites, fungi, viruses. Honestly it's amazing we are even alive. However, we are products of eons of selection and adaptation. All these years of disease-ridden environments have created one of the most complex and powerful systems in the natural world: our immune system, and we are going to see how it works... mafia style. We are going to live a few days in the life of the microscopic world that is our body, and we won't be playing around: some of the nastiest bugs in the business will be stopping by to see if they can throw a wrench into the intricate balance that is the human body. Do you think you can handle it?

I'm looking for twenty players (and fourish reservists) of any variety who are willing to get down and dirty with some questionable characters in my immunology mafia. Here's what I promise:

1. Lots of big words
2. Some neat pictures
3. Fun facts
4. Death and destruction

This is what I don't promise:

1. Balance
2. Cordiality
3. Free Beer

I drank it all.

Rules:

1. Consider me to be George Bush, and you to be the Secret Service. I know you really don't want to do what I say, but you don't have a choice. What I say goes.

2. Votes must be bolded. I will count your last vote. You do not need to unvote, but I recommend it just to prevent any confusion and misunderstandings.

3. No editing. We are all dicks. Just let it hang out.

4. No outside discussion unless specified in your pm, of course.

5. You may not quote your pm. Under ordinary circumstances I probably wouldn't have an issue with it, but I think for this setup it is best. Your role and actions are, of course, fair game.

6. When you are dead, you will be lysed and your DNA absorbed. That means shut up. Banter is fine. You know what is not.

7. There will not be a deadline, unless I see fit to impose one. Hopefully I won't.

8. There can be a no lynch if there is a majority vote for it or a deadline without a lynch. Up to you guys, really.

9. There may or may not be information in the scenes. I wouldn't read to much into them, but you never know. I might let something slip.

10. Pm me with any questions. I love talking, so I will be more than happy to answer. I will make fun of stupid questions.

Do keep in mind that this is my first modding attempt. Don't let that distract you from the fact that I am awesome, and you all love me.

Day 1

It didn't seem like just another day for Oliver as he woke to the sound of an alarm clock blaring. He felt rather spiffy, in fact. Later on this evening, Ollie planned to attend a massive party covered with dozens of drunk women with thoughts of deep philosophical conversation on their mind. Or something like that. I don't really know what goes on at these things. Anyhow, what Ollie didn't know was that there was a standoff beginning right at this moment spanning across five different organ systems. He really shouldn't have eaten that Hamburger Helper yesterday afternoon. But he's young, and he's got a flexible, powerful immune system that can handle anything. The real question is, are you competent enough to save Ollie?

Day one begins now...

::cough::

Too much information. And I think it's humorous seeing Mel Gibson's face with your expression of "Blah."
