Now these are the rules, love them up

1. Whatever the mod, that being me Lord Voldemort says goes. Argueing may result in penalties, which may include death, gay love, or anything else i see fit. if im not here, my alter ego comander cool will be in charge Cool

2. All votes and unvotes must be in bold eg vote frenchie-chan you can vote for me but similar consequences apply as rule 1

3. You may vote 'no lynch' to end the day without a lynch if u wish to be a lame peice of poo

4. There is to be no discussing the game outside this thread unless your role states otherwise or i give u direct permission. Doing so will have very bad consequences.

5. There is to be no editing of posts or deleting, chances are u posted something stupid and i want to have the gratification of laughing at you. please take note of this 1 warning then mod kills

6. A lynch needs a majority of the town's vote, once a lynch has been reached no unvotes will be counted. seems obvious. majority = half +1

7. You are not allowed to quote any PM's given by the mod, loose paraphrasing is acceptable.

8. Once you die, you're dead. You can hang around and talk but dont post useful stuff, or i will prolly go all emo and cry like a lil girl, you dont want this

9. Sucking up to me, may give u rewards

10. Talking at night about nothing of substance if you losers want to get your post count up is ok, but dont be stupid about it or ill bring out the whip

11. Be active. Everyone is required to post each game day lest they suffer consequences such as modkill or replacement.

12. If you will be gone at any stage it would be best to let me know.

13. days will stricktly be 72 hours. i usually dont do this, but we need some order for this game

14. Night will last 48 hours if you do not send an action within the time-limit you will miss your action that night.

15. Dont loose your role pm, its not hard, you read it, then down the bottom is a save message button. you loose it i will pay you out for a while, make sure everyone else does too, then give u a new one

16. Finally have fun dont be lame, i love most of you, voting cena will win you prizes

17. If you have any questions PM me, or speak to me on msn or aim im easy!!

Well, the general consensus from the other games I've read is to try and lynch an experienced player on day one, before they get too dug in, and I chose diddle from the list of players who I'd seen in another game.
Thus random, just not from the full list.

Generally, the most experianced players, are more likely to be useful in the later stages of the game, i just burnt my tounge :?

Yes, the experianced players always have some way to get out of a dilhema. Plus there's the fact that experianced player almost always get good roles.

Well that's only if the mod chooses roles rather than randomizing them.

Thats true.

If that's the case, then why do the other experienced players go for each other straight away? Is it just a rivalry thing that us newbies don't get?

Either way, I'll Unvote, since apparently I got the wrong impression.

If you were looking at the Deadwood mafia then here's a hint:

They're all experianced players.

Actually, that was one of the ones I wasn't.

LoVo's PotC game, the Nerds game, the C9 mafia and the Wrong Turn mafia were the ones I've looked at/read.

I'm co-mod in Wrong Turn :P

Really? Cool.
I'm curious, how difficult is it to mod a game of Mafia on a forum? I've got a couple of theme ideas running around my head, but I really don't know how viable it would be for me to run them, given this is my first ever game online.

As an aside, this won't be for a while anyway: I want to pay attention to this game.

So already experienced players can gang up on even more experienced players, but as they know the rules enough, it doesn't matter, but newbies like me get glared at for trying the same thing, since it might lead to mistakes?

Fair enough, I suppose.

Don't get what you mean in your last post, Suika. Anyway we have a short deadline here so we need everyone to talk.

Basically?

I'm getting the picture that more experienced players are 'allowed' to get away with trying to lynch each other because they have experience, but a newbie isn't, for some reason.
Why pmchugh cares, I don't know, since he's as new as I am.

Anyway, I'm off to work, so no more replies from me for a bit.

Yeh, I guess what you're saying is true, essentially. That's not how I view it personally but as a newbie round here I guess it's better to try and lay low for a while or find yourself getting lynched.

I did that as mafia Godfather in my first game here, and I made it to the end and won :D

Ahoy lubbers!

I'm lookin' fore t' playin' this game with you bilge rats. As me first action in this game, I'll vote cena. Now accordin' t' rule 16, I'm entitled t' some treasure, so let's see it!

By t' way, could you all stop talkin' about other thin's than who t' bad guys be in this game? If I catch you tryin' t' distract t' town from t' matters at hand, I'll have you keel hauled, you can be sure o' that.
