Brick Mafia: Day Two [Slaughter Unfolds]

1. This game is moderated by me (browng-08), I am the law. Whatever I say goes. If I make a mistake I’ll do my best to fix it. I am new to this, after all. All roles will be given out randomly.
2. Do not quote any PMs you receive from the Mod. The only things you may post (loosely paraphrasing) are your roles (and anything associated with them), and alignment, during the active game. Once the game has concluded, feel free to post the rest of your personal information. You may not post your win condition, how many words are in your role PM, or any other kind of way to get around not quoting PMs.
3. If you forget your role, you delete it, or have any questions about it, PM me. I can be quite understanding. :wink:
4. All ‘votes’ and ‘unvotes’ must be in bold and Red. If they are not at least bold, they will not be tallied. I cannot be held responsible for missing votes that are not noticeable. (eg. “Vote Bob”) If you vote two or more times consecutively without an unvote in between them, then the first vote will be the one that gets tallied.
5. Lynching requires a majority of the town vote, and once the majority has been reached any and all unvotes will not be counted.
6. Once your death scene has been posted, you are dead. You can no longer post anything revealing or of substance. No clues, as those are to be handed out as I see fit. Whining is alright, **Voices from beyond the grave** are alright, as long as nothing of substance is revealed.
7. You may vote ‘no lynch’ to end the day without a death. Votes for the Mod will not be counted.
8. The game will not be discussed outside this thread, unless your role specifically says you may do so.
9. Do not edit/delete previous posts. Whatever you say goes into historical record.
10. Day scenes I write will match the setting and may provide clues to the town. This is to make up for a slight disadvantage given to the town and to fit the theme of 'film noir detective story'.
11. I will tolerate spam, unless it irritates mafia participants. This rule only applies to mafia participants; no outside spam will be tolerated.
12. Be attentive and active in the game. If I see you are not posting at all, I will prod all those who are inactive. If there is no timely response, you will be replaced.
13. Each game ‘day’ will not last more than THREE 24 hour days. I will remind everyone if the deadline is near, and to look toward voting. If no majority is reached at the end of the third 24 hour day, a ‘no lynch’ will be forced, sending the game into the night phase.
14. Similar, each game ‘night’ will not last more than TWO 24 hour days. I will remind all those who have night actions when the deadline is near. If at the end of the second 24 hour day I have not received your night action, you will have lost your it (eg. for mafia, there would be a ‘no kill’, etc).
15. If you have any questions about whether you should or shouldn’t do something, or just need some clarification, feel free to PM me.
Final statement about this game:
Do not make any assumptions about this game. I am not a regular Mod, this is my first attempt. I am not necessarily aware of the conventions of Mafia games. Do not expect anything that I haven’t been explicitly told you. Don’t expect roles to be here, just because they’re common or “should be there”. They may not be. Expect this game to be interesting. Expect the set-up to be unique. Expect it to be fairly balanced, as I have taken pains to insure it is.
This game is based on the film, Brick. Certain scenes will be excerpt from the script. Certain scenes will be fabricated by me, the Mod. The basic premise of the movie is film noir in a new setting. Characters will run the gamut from hard-boiled detectives and femmes fatale to cops and gangsters, but placed in a high school environment with a mostly teenage cast. You will have difficulty finding enough information on the Internet to make fake roleclaims or investigate other roleclaims, so I suggest watching the film.
In the interest of staying true to the film, roles have been painstakingly cast to fit both cast and the theme and clues will be found in the Day and Night scenes. They will not be necessary, but hopefully will be useful.
