Have you figured out if he accepted the lover action yet?

In the meantime, we could discuss something while we wait. Does anybody have any ideas about discrepancy with last night's actions? The part where Iron says nobody visited edocsil and I say I did? The death of a busdriver doesn't solve this. (Unless the "Busted" part of the role implies some different mechanics.) The only think I can think of off the top of my head that that I may have been blocked. So, I guess we'll have to see if Tails wants to claim that action.

That's a lynch. I'm declaring Dusk until Sunday afternoon at the least. Discussion may continue, but no new votes will be counted.

Please DON'T send actions until I've declared that it is night.

He was the only one who could have saved them from the end of the world.

That's what he told them, anyway. Most of them thought he would have been the one to have caused it. They were probably right. The crater in the middle of what used to be Fifth Avenue didn't do him any favors.

Could he have stopped them from executing him? Probably. That wasn't his style, though. Justice was something he valued. If they wanted him dead, that was their right. He had no place to argue with freedom of speech. And again, he probably would have killed them all and their families and friends and even those two robots who wouldn't shut up. Good lord, such awful puns. That was another reason to let himself die.

He knew there was another like him, though. That was the scary thought. He may have wanted everyone and everything dead, but his rival wanted it too. Why should he get all the fun?

Maybe it's not too late, he thought. Maybe I can just unleash all my fury right now and claim my rightful place as destroyer of worlds.

Then his head fell on the floor.

A silhouette disturbed the darkness for a final time. The resurrected assassin had been a thorn in the side of the conspiracy. It was time he met his demise. Upon arriving at his place of meditation, the silhouette looked around. He noticed the giant guard who had been the cause of two of his comrades' deaths, an alternate route to his target, and a pineapple. He was good at this sort of thing.

He decided to scale the neighboring building and try to take a shot from there. Not being an athletic type, this took several hours. By the time he reached the top, the guard was standing directly overtop of him.

"Again?" he asked the guard.

"Yup" replied the giant.

/ AKA Shawn Spencer, Mafia Flavor Cop has been killed!

Dru Zeree held the power to destroy the earth in his hand. A dark violet sphere pulsing with electricity floated above his palm. A smaller sphere slowly orbited around the larger. Absentmindedly, he flicked the smaller one and drove it faster. He was getting impatient. It had taken this long to harness the power to obliterate everything. Was it too much to ask to simply do it?

No, he thought. Better that they know who brought their demise. So he waited longer still. As he sat there pondering the destruction of all things, his mind drifted back to that warrior who was beheaded yesterday. He may have been Dru Zeree's nemesis, but he was kind of cute. Matter of fact, he had this manner about him that was completely irresistible...

"f*ck!" Dru Zeree cried out, "Pull it together, man". It must have been something he had eaten. What had he eaten that day? Some roast beef, a chicken, a pizza... His mind drifted back to the warrior. The dark eyes, the supple body, the deft hands. He thought about that time he watched him training in a field in secret. He was amazing with a sword, and could summon great power in an instant. Maybe his goal had been destruction the whole time. Maybe he just wanted to give the weaklings a fair chance...

"Son of a bitch!" He clenched his hand into a fist. The larger sphere began to pulsate. He panicked. It was too soon. It began to grow. It engulfed the smaller globe. He had to stop it. Could he stop it? A containment field could do it. He put his hands up. A bubble formed around the sphere. It kept expanding. The room glowed light blue. The sphere filled the bubble. The bubble pushed back. Soon, he had it down to original size. Dru Zeree took a deep breath. His mind wandered to the execution. Hiei's turns back to the crowd. His eyes had meet Dru Zeree's for a brief moment.

He had lost focus. The bubble shattered. The power had been reduced, but there was still enough force to demolish Dru Zeree's house. As he saw his incoming demise, his life flashed before him, and he knew that there was no greater moment in his life than the one his mind had wandered to.

Some notes:

  • I'm glad I waived any responsibility for the balance of this setup. When I post the roles, you'll understand, but I'll say for now that spiesr and Tails were massively OP.
  • I am sorry about the whole Yomiel thing. I stand by my removal, but I certainly got more heated than I liked. I don't think Yomiel is going to come back, and that's probably a good thing. Still, it's clear Yomiel has some serious issues and I think some others on this site did nothing to help any matters. I hope the PM I posted shows that at one point I did have Yomiel's best in mind.
  • I really do like dueling lynchers, don't I? This is the third time I've had that happen in a game. Props to Doom for a clever solution to the killswitch problem.
  • Several actions interacted with roleblockers. There were no roleblockers.
  • I didn't get to test my runoff vote system. This makes me sad. Still, I'm pleased with the pace this game took. Six weeks is quick for a game these days.
  • If I had to pick an MVP, it'd probably be spiesr, but he had the benefit of an OP role. The mafia played pretty well for the most part, but the shoddy balance screwed them over.
  • Someone else should totally make one of these, because I want to play in one. Preferably someone with a lot of creativity.

So two questions. Tails, what WAS your role?

PCM, why didn't Jak die right away?

I'll have the answer to the first one up shortly.

I play that lovers last an extra phase before dying. If saf had died at night, Jak would have blown everything up before he suicided.

Very fun setup. I'll definitely see what my schedule is like and see if I can't mod one of these. Must get creative.

Considering the position / put me in, I had very little choice in playing it. I really thought that I gave myself the best shot at surviving until Day 5 by revealing some of the information. The problem was that I'm not sure how jak or I were going to get the other one killed after / outed me. Just a lot of talking about killswitches really.

Well Plan A, was my fakeclaim would be that I gained powers the game progressed. By singing Stayin' Alive, in its entirety, one line at a time, with slight adjustments. Then I was used for the kill and was slighltly clueless where to go, until you had me singing a version of Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-go!". So I decided to go for a lyncher/lynchee mechanism, because there was already one out there (well sorta).

I personally loved my role. I thought it worked well. I could see it actually being used as a solitary scum role, in place of a cult or sk faction. Basically he would just be trying to gather votes until he could lynch everyone himself.

If only you didn't fight back :P They would have never known what hit them.

They bought my fake claim I think up until Day 4, from there when I outed Safari and he kept referring to the 2nd killswitch I was thinking "Just don't let them think I am it, keep fighting with my fake claim" Also I think a FEW still believed me up until the end even though must were just hoping to get lucky ;)

That scene was such a tease... for a moment I couldn't figure out why it kept mentioning Safari, and then I was like NO! when I saw my death lol. Sooo close.

Though I think Doom's yam giving is a bit overpowered. He could gift anything he wanted to really. Cop, Busdriver, Lovers <.<, Bomb, Day vig, etc. So ultimately I wonder why the mafia never aimed for him, he was the most overpowered person there was. (He wouldn't have been much so if there had only been certain 'yams' he could give out, but being able to give out any yam made him too powerful). Heck, he could have given a yam for vote stealing.

Either way though, I had fun and I'm glad I kept people from guessing who I was up until Day 4. When I didn't die in the day phase I thought I was about to win it if they didn't kill me off at night. Then I laughed when I got the pm that my vote was stolen for the rest of the game ^^ Because it was either I won the game or I lost it, there wasn't going to be a Day 5 for me XD

My only regrets is not having the ability to kill off people at night. My obvious targets would have been Spiesr by night 2, and Doom by night 3. (Spiesr because of his protection/kill role and Doom because of his any power role).

EDIT:
Aww, I got no mod notes v.v Nor did Saf. Did we not play good? XD

My role was pretty suped up... It was difficult to tell you guys that I knew 1) there was a mafia, 2) I knew who were town because mafia was targeting them, and 3) busdriver wasn't busdriving all that much and no roleblockers without revealing that I had a valuable role. It was easy once I knew that spiesr would flip the kills.

btw, I was responsible for the roleblock on Squirrel because I wasn't sure what he did yet (I changed the mafia kill to a roleblock), the resurrection of edoc, and changing spiesr's targets.

Had a lot of fun with this one, pancake.

Bah, the DeLorean is far cooler than Marty or the Doc... neither of them can travel through time or have pop top doors :P.

Excellent game, I just wish I was able to be a little more active in it... RL caught up with me.

I didn't really know how to use the action effectively either... a delayer didn't seem like a very powerful role to me but with the right application I guess it could work out. In most cases I was probably doing more harm than good when using it though :P.
