Oh, I was agreeing with you. I was just also pointing at the others.

And trying to turn attention away from yourself? Why would you unvote after a vanilla townie claim, if you really thought he was scum?

hmmm, icedagger has a point there. But I don't really think I have the political capital atm, having just recovered from a bandwagon, to vote someone without having it overanalized. So FoS lalaland

Icedagger: I unvoted right away, because I wasn't totally convinced he was scum.
Honestly it was turning out to be a pretty slow-moving game, and so I voted for the newb, in a semi-random vote.
However, after he claimed I didn't want a claimed townie to be lynched, so I unvoted.

I didn't honestly think he was scum. If you remember, my first vote was random.

FiveThreeEight wrote:Vote: Ditocoaf! Get rid of the newbie!!! :D

After I voted him, Ditocoaf and I went back and forth for a while, with him eventually putting an OMGUS vote against me. While certainly scummy, I'm sure we can chalk it up to this being his first game. However, since it was the best thing we had to go on, I left my vote. Call it pressure.

Voting for new person right off the bat = scummy, also, I just got your name (I think. 5+3=8).

Well, my vote was random at first. Now, you make me wonder with your counter-vote against me.

Sorry. This is the best we have to go on right now.

hmm... I don't really see what's supsicious about counter-votes; an innocent person might become suspicious of someone voting for them, and in fact, you basically just said that your vote has just become a counter-vote.

anyway, my vote is still very random; I just changed it to see if we could get some things moving.

After everyone else jumped on the Ditocoaf bandwagon, he claimed vanilla. I believed him, as I have no real concrete evidence that he is not what he claims to be, and, therefore, removed my vote.

lalaland makes a good point. Why are you concentrating on the people who are jumping off of the bandwagon if you think the bandwagon is such a bad idea. You should be looking at the people who are staying on it.

Or perhaps you want us to jump back on and lynch a townie.

Guess what? Anyone can be a "claimed townie" in this game, as it's not themed there's nothing to stop mafia just claiming vanilla townie. The only reason to vote someone and then unvote when they claim this, as far as I can see, is to pressurise someone else next, and then get them to claim. This only helps mafia.

Neither of your votes were entirely random 538 and lalaland (538's mightve started random but you later started accusing him) so I don't see why you'd get someone to claim and then unvote.

The bandwagon was a bad idea in my opinion, but what's suspicious is you two suddenly changing your minds after he claims vanilla townie.

So my vote stays on lalaland for now, in the absence of anything better.

Here's how I see it:

We pressure him. He either slips, or claims. If he claims townie, I really have to believe him, because, if I don't and we lynch him, then I feel that I would look mighty suspicious. Like I said, my reason for keeping my vote on him, an OMGUS vote, wasn't much, as this is his first game. Therefore, my unvote was warranted.

Again, I'm not too sure why you have such a problem with this. Hopefully some of the other people in the game can come in and add there own two cents.

I know this, and frankly I'm very surprised that claiming saved me. But I don't find 538's leaving the bandwagon suspicious at all; his vote was originally random. If someone was saying "he's definitely scum!" and then switched off when I claimed, that'd be very fishy, but since nobody seemed much dedicated to the bandwagon, it seems reasonable, if surprising.

Vote lalaland. Rereading this thread, it seems icedagger is right; lalalands behavior regarding my bandwagon is pretty suspicious: jumping on the bandwagon towards the end, but jumping off as soon as I claim. 538's not suspicious, because his vote was essentially random, and Neotony apparently isn't convinced by my claim; this sets them both apart from lalaland.

After a quick reread, lalaland does appear a bit scummy. She(?) claimed that she voted for the same reason I did. However, I don't think that's a good reason to jump on a bandwagon. Maybe for a first vote, but, afterwards, I think you wait for that person to slip up.

Vote: lalaland. We need to get this moving.

I'm sorry if some of my actions surrounding dito seemed suspicious to some... but honestly, if I were an outsider looking in at the game, I don't think I would have given a second glance to what I did.

I suppose I'll claim... although I doubt it will do much good as I am also just a plain townie. My name is Wags.
One thing to consider, Dito also had a name that started with W. Maybe all townspeople have names that begin with W? Anybody else want to confirm this? Maybe just a coincidence?

I think icedagger is the scummiest. vote icedagger
If I get lynched, you will see that I am indeed a townie, and I would strongly suggest that you go after icedagger next.
If you need to sacrifice me to get hold of a scum, so be it.
It's a little more than a hunch that he is mafia. The way he has been attacking people, etc. **go after ice if you lynch me**

However, if by some miracle either myself or ice is not lynched today, may I strongly suggest that the cop investigate one of us?

Well there's no need to turn it into a WIFOM lalaland.. you didn't defend why you unvoted immediatley after he claimed vanilla townie, and just OMGUS'd on me instead. (Wow two pieces of mafia jargon in one sentence im getting good at this..)

I'm sorry, this post seems incredibly suspicious to me:
a) Saying everything I did when there was a bandwagon on me (Claiming reluctantly, vanilla, admitting that it won't do much good; FoSing someone "if I'm lynched"...). It looks like someone with no legitimate excuses, just trying what's been proven to work. Compare it to my post when I had four votes... scarily similar.
b) That whole "W" thing sounds like something random and useless one would make up to make it sound like you're being sincere.
c) Scum would want the cop to show himself. 'nuff said.

My vote stays. If lalaland somehow turns out innocent, then I guess we can go after icedagger (or even me, since in that case this post of mine would seem really suspicious). But I really doubt that lalaland is townie. This post cinches it in my opinion.
