Oh dear, mandy as a sliver scares me.

+1 for a Magic reference, the only trading card game I still sometimes play.

Facepalm, Used to have one of those decks, don't play any longer.

Blue counter and White Gain life are the two decks I still have remaining. I am old school, the new redesigns suck and the cards are OP in my opinion.

But anyways, back to the Dude.

Comrades--

I am here to wake you from your fevered dreaming, free you from your cage with which you are controlled and used. These cold shackles, these heavy chains of torment wrought by scheming shadows, are intended to keep you, the people, passive and unaware. The Authority seeks to pacify you, strip you of your dignity, and maneuvers quietly from behind illusions and pretenses. Beware! You are beset upon each front by the brooding, manipulating, suppressing machinations of the Authority, who wish to conquer and enslave you. This is endemic of any Authority; they exist merely at the behest of your own folly.

This surreptitious entity deceives you with the exploits of past glories. We are constantly regaled at every turn with the qualities of the pro-town hero, got tonkaed. Hark! Do not listen to such subterfuge! This is merely to comfort you, to assuage your deepest fears. Meanwhile, this supposed hero plays himself into the role delegated to him by the Authority: figurehead, puppet, a mere marionette to be paraded out in front of the public to entertain you, much like the Colosseum and its shows from ancient Rome.

Don't despair just yet! For the marionette must dance according to the strings, given motion by the hands of the Authority itself. Fear not! For I am here, and I will illuminate this darkness that covers your eyes. Spiesr and his clandestine motives will no longer have free reign to whisper quietly in your ears, to turn you against your brother. His unabashed defense of the pro-town hero and vicious attack upon the polemic Strike Wolf bespeaks his true intent.

Revolt!

It looked like a joke post. I was a bit busy today so I haven't posted and really haven't seen much worth posting about (admittedly I forgot about the deadline so I was a bit slack in those regards).

I didn't realize there was a deadline... that's what I get for skimming I guess. Anyone have a case?

Okay, so we are nearing the deadline it seems, but we don't really have anything except joke posts so far. Has anyone said anything scummy that they can be misinterpreted or blown out of proportion and lynched for? Or would you guys like to just go with a no lynch? The closest thing to a semi-passable on day 1 only reason to vote for someone would be when they thread took the detour to talk about magic and pokemon cards, but that seems like a collaborative effort and I don't know how easily we could assign blame to one person for that.

I've read the thread again, and it's all jokes, so in lieu of anything better, I'll unvote vote pancake for only two posts, a confirm vote and "JESTER!" charge at DoomYoshi.

Well just going no lynch right now would be suicidal for us (I don't think you meant without any discussion but I wanted to make that clear to everyone). I would have to agree there's really only joke votes so far and I've found nothing that has caused any stir within me to push away from the joke voting stage. I will take partial blame for the side track session...I said that comment simply in jest and did not consider how it could derail (even just temporarily) the thread. I'm not sure i can assign scummy motives to anyone on that part as it is easy to get distracted during the joke stage.

TBH, I kind of want to do a crazy theory just for the hell of it but it would in no way reflect any feelings of who might actually be scummy in this game so I felt it would probably be best not to side track any more especially after the off topic comments my own accidentally led to yesterday. Plus I figured that was mandy's job.

Yeah mandy the deadline for the submission of your crazy theory outline the alignment of every single player in the game is tomorrow, so you had better deliver...

As long as we're pointing out people for inactivity I could probably also mention Ga7 and commander (though commander has been sparsely active everywhere the last few days it seems).

Thus the disclaimer. Honestly I don't like lynching people just for any inactivity/lurking they do (I have no problem when they continue to submarine after posting weak responses regarding discussion constantly) but I do agree with it being a good way to get discussion started. Either way admittedly I just mentioned ga7 and commander mostly just to point them out. As far as pancake. You're active in other areas of the forum and I can understand other threads taking less time than it does to write an analysis but this has been the joke voting stage so I do believe you could have been a bit more active than just confirming and one random statement before shrugging off votes against with three days to deadline.

I have read back and likewise couldn't find anything beyond the joke vote. However we shouldn't be freaking out too much. It's entirely possible for us to reach a lynch in about 24 hours, and we can still have good discussion in the next two days, provided people are active.

I for one don't mind following up on the pancake lead, in that he was inactive and only came back to thread very quickly after he was mentioned.

And again, all you have on me is that I've only made one time-wasting joke and haven't talked about Magic: The Gathering. At least with Albarezzi I hadn't posted in like, 4 days and actually had something someone wanted me to respond to.

Well, I'm here now. What do you want?

While this is probably unfair to ask and I don't honestly expect you to be able to provide, I would like you to make a discussion that somehow leads us to find a good candidate to lynch in the next couple days. I realize that there is no reason to expect you to pull this off when nobody else (myself included) has contributed anything useful, but if you are granting wishes might as well ask...

I'm a little reluctant to hop on the pcm wagon, because really there hasn't been much discussion to get into. Except for pokemon.

So I'll just stick with my vote on Fir for derailing us here...
