Wow, I never thought it could be so easy. Admitting that you have an evil plan is a pretty good slipup

Aw man, we're going to lose another potential mafia player with another day 1 lynch. Although, saying you have an evil plan is like voting no lynch.

We have to lynch someone. We can choose between a random person that really hasn't done anything scummy yet, or between the guy with the evil plan.

Easy choice for me.

That puts him at -2. For that 'evil plan' comment I think he is definitely worth a lynch for, one of the scummiest things I've ever seen in a mafia game.

So... there is no chance that he was making an ill-advised joke then? Not at all? I mean, I know I have low expectations of new players and all, but are we just going to assume he was making a comment about doing evil scummy things to us in the night?
It's possible, and I have no idea what targetman is like, but usually I find such things made in jest before they realise just how they goofed.

I'm not comfortable with how easily some people are willing to jump new players without really giving them a chance.

Or both of you are mafia and Skoffin is trying to protect you. I usually see Skoffin help attack the new players, not defend them.

or maybe my evil plan was to make myself an easy target so i could figure out who the mob was! seeing as how they where the first to jump? on to a large bandwagon. Claim it as a "SLIP UP" the mafia has a legit reason to start a bandwagon?

Because questioning the leap of assumptions made on a new player could only be the marks of a scum buddy leaping to defend  I've not played around here in years, my style is not going to be exactly the same as it was years ago. While I have and will be aggressive to some new players that is based upon their actions and their attitudes.
While target may not be helping his case with his remarks since, the initial comment made did not seem enough to spark the bandwagon that followed. In my mind it appeared to be nothing more then some taking a stab at an easy lynch, and there is usually only one set of people in a game that would want such a thing.

But looks like that view is rendered pointless now that it appears target is trying to downplay his comment while overplaying it

Well, to be fair, this indeed developed a bit too quickly for my liking. Some good players, experienced players, want to oust someone way too fast...

Unvote. Vote Nag.

FOS Commander for skimming. I didn't even vote the guy and the previous page I said 'easy lynch is easy.' A newbie talking about an evil plan in my eyes however is ridiculously scummy and a comment that shouldn't be allowed to get away with without some form of pressure. We do however have plenty of time and if targetman can produce a reasonable defence then there is no need to lynch. I'm not entirely convinced by his argument however that he said it to attract more votes in order to create a bandwagon, which scum would show themselves and jump on, in fact skoffin gave him a stronger defence and this second defence seems like he is lying as to his initial motives and instead come up with a second motive in an attempt to clear his name.

First of all, I actually meant to vote Ga7 and not you, my bad. It was him who voted him and not you, so I apologize. As far as target goes - sorry, but I just struggle to imagine anyone stupid enough to say that they have an evil plan and not be joking.

ok thats true about that when i did say that i was joking but after reading all the comments i realized that it would be good to find out information on who the mafia could be but that was an after thought. after all it is my first game so i am still learning the ways of how to figure out who people are.

Oh yes, lynch the newwbie as per. 9/10 the day 1 lynch is poorly thought out and everyone goes on who is easy to lynch rather than who is actually acting scummy.

Making joeks in mafia is ill-advised but lynching a newbie for it is even less forgivable.

Trying to say the lynch is easy based off a joke is stupid. Either this is a pressure vote to gauge reaction or you are being careless and trying to get an easy day 1 lynch rather than a sensible one.

This is true. This whole lynching of target has reeked of scum trying to control a lynch. Aage seemed to be one of the main perps. behind the lynch so UNVOTE VOTE AAGE

Lol. I'm going to get wagonned over that? It's the complete and full truth. If anything, Target should learn that once wagonned, you have to stop joking. Apparently he didn't. Trying to laugh away a wagon is also scummy if you ask me.

Ok, so now we're going to vote one person who jumped on target? I don't really see how aage is any more deserving than anyone else on the bw.

btw target, when you vote someone for voting you, that's generally known as an Oh My God U Suck vote and can be considered scummy. I was voting you for that and not for the joke post. So, now you know joke posting is bad.

Well he wagoned earlier too, wrote it off as a joke. and then did it again here, acting like it was legitimate to lynch an absolute rookie for a rather common misstep.

A rather common misstep?

What was the misstep exactly? Joking about having an evil plan to kill us all? In my experience that isn't very common.

Either way, if I hadn't contributed to the wagon, who were we going to lynch? I'd say we would have been lynching Target anyway. Really the only fuss is about me deciding not to postpone a judgement. No, I really don't see your point...
