If it will help put your thoughts in order, I'll point out that it is not possible that both I (who am saying that Skoff's Scar (Cult Leader)) and Skoff (who is saying that she isn't) are telling the truth.

I can only assume from here that DDS is not going to demand a further claim from me lest he vote for me, at least not at this stage. Which leaves us somewhat at an impasse.
The problem I think is that we have players content to let the game stall so that they don't have to risk appearing too involved in my possible lynch. At this rate, we'll get a deadline and my lynch will become the only viable option to make the excuse 'well something happening is better than nothing' look like decent reasoning for voting.
We have a mixture of scum letting town lose daylight and town being too lazy or too worried to form an opinion on this lynch either in case they get it wrong.

I believe Skoff is telling the truth and I used to think Mandy was too. It would be a very bold tactic to screw over a fellow scum member on Day 1 so there's still some slight hope for him, but it will disappear completely if Skoff is lynched as Nala.

Skoff, if my last post wasn't enough, I'm happy to 'get involved' by still trying to get votes off ya and onto mitch (or HotShot maybe).

Lack of consistent WiFi is my current issue on my travels, and tomorrow will be my last definite one for maybe 4 days. Just an FYI.

But there's a difference between lying and not telling the truth, as both of you have role claimed without counter it appears that both of you believe what you are saying, i.e. not lying. Now I know you are not telling the truth either about Skoffin converting me to cult, and I still think the whole cult idea is baseless, but as nobody has countered your role claim I guess I'm forced to look for the next most scummy...

Currently I'm torn between HotShot53 and madmitch, the former for their lack of activity (and because if they flip scum I'm fairly sure I know who their scum partner is), and the latter because of their eagerness to follow everything mandalorian2298 has done as, if scum, latching onto somebody outspoken who you know is town sided makes a lot of sense.

I'm not going to cause another town death to prove a point. Sam was unfortunately a victim of circumstance and DJ's lack of involvement raised enough red flags for me to throw a vote on him.

Yes, apart from defending Skoffin, there is no indication that Pika is playing on Skoffin's side.

What set's him apart from, for example, you, is that he actively argued against my hypothesis, as opposed to your approach of saying the hystoric "Maybe!" to other player's theories and going with the flow.

Since my vote is locked and I have already listed my reasons for it, I would like to adress one element of the mass claim: possibility of Timon being a Mason with Pumba. I got the impression that Hotshot soft-claimed something to that effect when he mysteriously declared Skittles to be Town for unspecified reasons. If they really are Masons, then I really don't see the downside of them claiming.

Let's try to break this down for a moment.

This is where we lie:

Wants to Lynch Skoffin: Mandy, Mitch, Hotshot, Skittles
Does not want to lynch Skoffin: Skoffin, Masket, Pika, DDS, Fircoal.

Mandy's idea is that there is a cult that is surrounding Skoffin. From my position if his idea is true that means that it's very likely her recruits are all of those that aren't voting for her. That would mean that the possible cult team would most likely be Skoffin, Masket, Pika, and DDS.

Now is this likely?

I'd say no for a couple of reasons.

First off what Mandy said about DDS. With the heat he got and his role being known to be a VT it doesn't make much sense to try to convert him. Lots of risk, little reward.

As for Masket and Pika? I mean sure maybe. I don't think either of them would have been my first choice.

Maybe a team of Masket - Pika - Skoffin would make sense if Skoffin couldn't recruit on night 1, which might be possible. But still there is another thing that seems unlikely.

If I was Skoffin yesterday, wouldn't it be obvious who to recruit? Mandy of course. He's the one pushing the hardest for the cult lynch. Not only would be hilarious to see him have to be a turncoat but it eases off the biggest pressure that is up against the cult. But considering how much the two of them are pressing up against each other I'm not sure that's likely. Unless Mandy is being bold and hoping that we don't call his bluff. Which honestly seems like the type of thing that he'd do.

Theme wise the idea of a cult makes sense. I don't know if Scar could have required Simba though. Which means it's possible Scar could have wasted their action last night.

This leads me with a couple of questions.

Is there a cult? My guess is no but it's possible.

Who is in that cult? I'd say it's either Skoffin / Masket / Pika and maybe Mandy.

The only worry is if that cult actually is at 4 currently which I don't think is likely.

Thusly to get the best information I also support the idea of mass claiming. I think the idea of there being cult is unlikely at this point nor do I think they're going to overflow. In any case I don't think there's any worry to letting everything out so we have a good idea of where to go from here.

Currently my suspcions lie most on Mitch, but I will refrain from voting him, or anyone until we get a mass claim.

This is an interesting topic and the one I thought a lot while waiting for Day 4. Since I didn't get recruited (yes, I know, but I'm now speaking purely from my own subjective perpective) and since it seems highly unlikely that Skoff has been roleblocked last Night, since I have been roleblocked, here is my explanation.

Supposing that Skoff IS the Cult Leader these would be the downsides of recruiting me:

1) Since I haven't claimed yet, and since I only joined Kwanton's lynch after he made, to my mind, a unrecoverable (deliberate) slip, she couldn't have KNOWN that I wasn't Shenzi, although she would then have to make an additional assumption that realized that she is Cult Leader AFTER I had sent my NK choice during Night 2.

2) If she was the Cult Leader and she DID recruit me; what would have been her plan for Day 4?

If there is one thing that could have really ad fuel to the flame of the Cult Theory, it would have been if I had suddenly backed off Day 4. Everyone here who played with me, but especially you and the other "Old Guard" players know that when I have constructed as elaborate a theory on, what I believe to be concrete evidence, I NEVER back off unless faced with counter-evidence of equal strength (which in this case, given the nature of Cult, would only be if a) she claimed Rafiki without counterclaim or b) I had investigated Skoff personally and got her as Town. And even then I would probably (stubborn bastard that I am) spend a lot of time considering the posibility of my Cop being Naive).

I mean, I would have gone to war over Kwanton's "us", so it's pretty certain that I won't give up on Skoff's 0 votes on Day 1.

Thus, even if I HAD been recruited (and remember, Skoff would have had no chance to coordinate with me before Night 4, so she had no idea what I would do), I would continue attacking Skoffin with the same gusto. Perhaps, I would look for chances to make exploitable slips and make myself less beleivable, but even that has a downside because...

3) I could get lynched!

Pick any player except Skoffin. Now imagine that player get's lynched today. Now imagine if the lynch scene shows this player to be the member of the Cult. Now ask yourself: who is going to be lynched on Day 5?

It's actually a trick question: Mafia is most likely going to NK skofin during Night 4 (unless she has recruited the Doc).

That would mean that, while I would have to continue to attack Skoffin, she in turn would have to do absolutely everything to protect me from being lynched. Since she, at that point, didn't know that I am Simba; and since the Cult is a step away from victory, recruiting me would have been way more trouble then it's worth.

P.S. At this point, it is uncertain if Skittles wants to lynch Skoffin, since he is still at work.
