Scene

Everyone except the captain was sleeping soundly tonight. They were far in deep space, there was little chance of the Alliance sneaking up upon them. Ever vigilante Mal sat at the helm of the Firefly. In his heart he knew more would die tonight, despite all his efforts to keep the crew alive. The moment he was waiting for arrived again. The enemy was aboard his ship. Quickly he headed to the crew's quarters, it was the direction his intuition lead him. Just as he approached their quarters Kaylee stepped out. "Mal, what's the matter, you should be sound asleep by now." Mal never got the chance to reply, a group of shadows slipped from the wall and ran her through. The blade was sleek and sharp, all straight edges, designed for nothing more then to cleanly and efficiently kill unarmored targets. Mal rushed in, hoping to kill the intruder before he could harm more of his crew but the man slipped away into the shadows again. Zoe rushed out from her berth. Seeing Kaylee dead on the floor and man nearby Zoe pulled out her gun and opened fire. Mal collapsed to the floor and Zoe realized what she had done. Mal struggled for conciseness and managed, "Zoe watch your back." Spinning Zoe saw the shadows move again as a man stepped out from them. without question she fired again and again until all her shells were spent. The man was nowhere to been seen.

The man had slipped away into the dark of the ship down towards the engine room knowing none would follow him with the commotion going on above. He had a small ship latched to the underside of the Serenity and had a small hatch he could make his escape from. He would always be able to come back another night if his cover wasn't compromised.

He never made it. River was waiting for him hidden just above his exit. As he passed underneath her she dropped from the ceiling, and with a quick twist of her hands she broke his neck, he never saw her coming.

Malcolm Reynolds (Strike Wolf) Town JOAT + Busdriver has been killed.
Kaylee Frye (Soundman) Town Enabler (busdrives) has been killed.
The Operative (Tailgunner) Operative has been killed.

Day 3 Begin

Tailgunner is the one who killed Soundman after Strike busdrove him... Which means someone targeted soundman, as well.

He used plural form here. That would mean there are two left at this point which would make sense. I'm going to look back over this thread and see if something stands out. With the commander thing earlier other arguments or points were overlooked so we could lynch commie there.

Damn it, that was me who took a shot at soundman. I didn't know there were going to be busdrivers. I thought he was scummarining.

I think today is a fine day to get to the bottom of the Violet/Iliad thing. I really liked the scene description, but I am not sure we have any leftover evidence from yesterday.

Like I said before, I have no evidence of Iliad being town besides Vio saying so. Now seems like an opportune time to test that assertion. If we lynch Illy and he turns up town, I volunteer to vig Vio so town can go back to pursuing mafia on Day 4.

I'm not bringing it up as the best case, but seeing as how we have only caught 1 SKer and maybe 1 mafia goon (not sure what they are in the series) there's probably 3-4 mafia people out there, and between Iliad and VioIet, odds are decent that one of them is mafia.

I tried that and I only ended up accidentally killing Mal. Quite frankly, the only reason I'm doing this is because Vio agreed to be held accountable for this lynch. If she isn't comfortable taking the fall if Iliad isn't scum, I need a better reason to vote him because her case on him wasn't very strong after he defended himself.

This is an infuriatingly frustrating move. I can't offer a defense because there is no case against me.
Other than the one where Vio simply made up actions and lied, having to later admit to simply lying in her case against me. And yet I'm the one with a sudden bandwagon against me. This entire bandwagon is not supported on even the flimsiest of cases, but rather the gut feeling of Vio, who had admitted that she had mixed up games and in general confused things.

I'm finding it very odd that the bandwagon has grown so quickly, in place of you know actually looking for scum and scumtells.

Wow, illy is still around. Hadn't seen you much at all in any games, amazng how throwing votes of someone brings them back. Maybe we should throw votes on someone else who is absent and get them to chat. But fair enoug illy. I will look back at everything and see what all there is against you.

Ok after looking back over everything there really isn't much to go on with the illy case. He and Vio had it out early on but most of that was weak at best. Illy then became convinced nark was guilty and pushed that for a bit but has since then gone silent. But with the pressure on him he popped up to say hello. The one person who is very absent from the thread in general though is sheep. Like so absent I couldn't even tell you what page his last post was on. So, here is some pressure for you sheep. Why aren't you scum?

As Illiad already said earlier there wasn't really a case. There was a distracting exchange of posts that ultimately achieved nothing. Yes, it was putting pressure on someone who was seemingly inactive, but there are many cases of that around. It really seems like you were just going with a 'guess we'll do this now' kind of vote instead of putting on a vote.

A moderate sized FoS on DoomYoshi and Safariguy and a smaller FoS on Tal. Not enough for me to vote any of them, just seems a little off to me.

Anyway, now that we have a few ideas as to who was town / maf from the deaths I'm going to re-read to see if I can find any connections between those already dead.
