I'm positive Sam is town, but I'm going to side with Skoffin on this and say that we need to save the game from going inactive/dead.

Vote Sam

We still have a week. There was no rush to do it now!

And if you were positive he is town why would you ever vote for him except for in the most pressing of circumstances?

Bit of a random thing to say when there's not been that much connecting the two so far. And if you think Samlen is scum, strongly enough to say it in the chat, surely not voting him is kinda odd.

I know it's the hammer but unless Samlen has anything else to try and defend himself with aside from his claim, it feels like delaying the inevitable at this point.

I didn't say I think sam is scum, I said I could see the possibility that he was scum, but not enough to put the down the hammer right then.

I agree with Fircoal here.... if you are positive someone is town, you should never vote them, except in very exceptional circumstances... the game wasn't dead enough to vote just for the sake of voting. Sounds to me like you are putting the in hammer but setting up the "I knew he wasn't scum" argument when he flips town... FOS DDS

I'd consider this a pressing circumstance. How many posts are we getting on Lion King a day? About 2 with any sort of substance? The game is full of crickets, I'd rather try to advance the game now, rather than convince the Mandy Hype Train that lynching Sam would get us no where. Essentially I'm killing two birds with one stone.

Following on from Ed's unmasking the previous day a rallying cry had been heard from across the town.

"Death to all vanilla" cried one

"If you're not part of the pride and a named character you don't belong in the group" yelled another

Fingers pointed to various members of the group, were they part of the herd, were they not, perhaps there is no real herd to speak of really

Eventually eyes rested at Samlen

"He is not a giraffe, he is Ed - the bone eating giraffe" screamed one of the mob

"Uh.. Ed's dead dude" mentioned one individual

"Who cares, let's get him" shouted another

Samlen - Giraffe (Townie) has been lynched!

Zazou was flying over the pride lands scanning for signs of activity. He had been following people in the night, hoping that he would catch someone in the act of murder.

It had been a long night and a fruitless search and he stopped for a pause when all of a sudden he found himself surrounded, grappled, under attack and locked up.

"SIMBAAAA HELP ME" he shouted

There was no response

"Anyone? Bueller?"

Instead a cackle was heard.

"Come here, you annoying pest of a bird" growled Scar

Benga - Zazou (Tracker) has been killed!

Vote Skoffin, but just so that can get her attention.

I can't believe that I haven't spotted this during Day 2 (my one-track mind really dropped the ball there  ). You, Skoffin, were Mute for the duration of Day 1. You haven't voted for anyone, not even a joke-vote to start the Day 1 with!

HOWEVER, after dakky aka. Mufasa died during Night 1, you were able to vote without a problem from Day 2 on.

There are only two Lion King roles that could explain this post restriction and, since one of those roles is Scar, my vote stays on you until and unless you name-claim the second role. (on the bright side, if you do claim the second role without a counterclaim, you will be a proven Townie.)

Is it accurate to say that your entire case against me is that I did not vote day one and you believe that to be some sort of post restriction? On what basis do you believe that Scar would have a post restriction that he could not vote Day one? Soz but I'm not going to roleclaim because you have some hairbrained theory based on not even a semblance of sanity

Lol. Not so hairbrained this time. In fact, it has been a long time since I had a theory that has been this well founded in facts.

But, before I go on any further, in the spirit of how completely busted you are  , I am also prepared to unvote you if you find me another normal (RTs and joke games don't count) whery you have been active during Day 1 without voting once (and without PR, naturally).

So, firstly the no vote during day one thing. Everyone votes at least once during Day 1. Even guys like Sam and DDS, who have spent the rest of their day preaching the Gospel of No Lynch, voted. The only two reasons for not voting on Day 1 are 1) you can't and 2) this is your first encouter with the world of Mafia and you don't know how to vote.
Is this your first game Skoff? No? Then I'll move on.

I watched Lion King a nerdy number of times and, thematically, it would only make sense for 2 characters not to have a vote diring Day 1/before Mufasa's death (since these two events concided, we can't know for sure which one triggered the return of your voting ability). One of them is Scar and the other isn't important unless you claim.

Scar being mute while Mufasa is alive would make perfect sense. Until then, he literaly has no vote in how the things are run. After he kills Mufasa (in the movie), he seizes control over the pride and it would no longer make sense for him to be Mute. QED

I agree that Skoffin not voting day one is unusual, however the premise that (as Scar) Skoffin would not be able to cast votes until the death of another player would be more unusual. This limitation would force the (presumably) most powerful, and likely most important scum role to play incredibly passively and makes it highly likely that they are found out by the end of the second day unless the death of Mufasa was a predetermined scripted event (which I suppose would explain the trigger-happiness of the vig play if they were informed of their pending doom beforehand), but this raises the question of what happened to the scum kill during night one?

Scar being Mute wouldn't necessarily make him unable to NK. Going back to theme, Scar's was able to kill before Mufasa's death, for example Mufasa.

Truly you are the only player who can do something like this and get away with it because it's...well..it's you.

And what, have we all suddenly forgotten the Trinity Vanilla reasoning from Day 2? DDS, DJ and Samlen all claiming vanilla when we presumed only two were likely?

Samlen was innocent unfortunately but that's no reason to give up on the other two. DDS has been far more active and I'm not terribly suspicious of him, but DJ does look like is trying to coast through the game. I don't necessarily agree with Flores by voting him just for that, but I will
Vote DJ for that AND from the line of reasoning from Day 2.

Sorry mandy, but I think you should go back and read who Skoff thought was town a few pages back. I reckon it's pretty close to the money.

"just for that" :?: why do i even bother to put cases together when they only attract animosity and ppl dont even bother to read them, i mean if you had bother to read my posts and not just skim through them for deffend skoff, whom for all i know might be some kind of linked role with you, i went on and on about why i though the VT serial claiming was fishy but whatever, since everyone but mandy doesnt seem to care when i am even called a bitch for pointing the obvious i seriously dont feel like repeating myself anymore, if you want to know in more details why my vote is where it is feel free to actually check it up, i have lost all hope anyway on this underwhelming return to the mafia community getting any better

Your entire theory is hinged on the silly position that the head of the Mafia can't vote until Mufasa dies. Here are the issues:
1. I am already known to be slow to cast votes, people here have actually commented on that in the past. Therefore I am matching my own known style in this case.
2. In essentially anyone other than me, not voting at all would be completely out of place and put them at incredible risk; you are essentially saying that Nag/ga7 put post restrictions on two of their members for funsies and jeopardised the entire team just for theme. Absolutely no way would ga7 allow a game where mafia have so little chance of winning. Ridic
