Me thinks Thor is playing the newbie card too much. He thinks he is still in charge of CSI unit and not providing any new info, while "investigating" other kills.

Something doesn't sound right in that. Could be a full newbie or could be a experienced player new on this forums who knows how to blend in as a "newbie". Either way, that card should have expired in my eyes.

I will vote him. Something just isn't right about his play.

Dang it. dakky. I am new to this and regardless of whether I survive or not, I would like to understand what is possible in this game. Anybody want to try answering my annoying questions? I don't know about dakky, but I would consider such a reply to be 'new information'.

I know I should pick a random person and accuse them on a flimsy pretext... but since it's my first game, forgive me for accusing that pushy guy who is likely over-compensating because he has something to hide.

What you just wrote surprised me... twice.
Firstly, you also suggest that Mitch died while being a bodyguard and that certainly makes the most sense... but there is also the more remote possibility that he actually WAS targeted.

Secondly, you mention that a bodyguard has a 50/50 chance to kill the attacker? Is that always the case?
Could there be a scenario in which both the body guard and the killer (or the target) die, perhaps due to another action by a third-party? if so Pika could be Mitch's killer or the character that Mitch was trying to protect.

I admit that I'm speculating out on a slender limb but what you said got my imagination going.

Hate to admit it, but the game is becoming more fun with a few killings to investigate.

We could try looking at who mitch would've thought to protect, but considering that someone probably targeted said person for a kill, they might actually be valuable/thought as valuable so we might not want to expose them to scum that don't know them.

Bodyguards do typically have a 50% chance to kill the attacker of whoever they are protecting, but it can vary from host to host so we have no way of knowing for sure. I doubt the ??? role was killed by mitch since mitch's role just said bodyguard, not janitor.

@strike might just be me but I thought that bit of flavor made it sound like one of shepard's close teammates got converted or something. Might just b erandom flavor too. Can't afford to speculate too much since we saw where that got us in lion king.

Mitch was a bodyguard, not a janitor. Possibly, we have another player who is a janitor and targeted Pika and that's why he got dead as ????.

Sorry but I no longer know what you're talking about. Had Caff being jailed again N2 and therefore prevented another night kill, that would've alternatively near-100% confirmed as scum. He only died last day phase as he chose a poor fake role claim.

sigh... I probably would have voted for caff, I did give him an official FOS but I thought I had time to think it over, I honestly didn't realize that game days ended early if a lynch vote is cast.
...and I wouldn't be surprised if all of caff's mafia partners voted for caff. They would have known he was guilty and needed to be eliminated.

ALSO, I looked up janitor on the MafiaWiki. So it is a type of killing role that 'cleans up' the evidence. It also says that it is usually a mafia role. If that is true then the Mafia may have killed Pika?... but then who/what killed Mitch? If we assume the Thorian doesn't kill, and the town only kills by lynching,,, then I'm stuck. Could there be a some kind of 'fourth party' like an independent serial killer or something? like that/

At leas tadmit your misquoting me. I do know how to cast a vote but I though the final lynch vote tally would be on the 28th. I was honestly surprised to learn that an eaerly vote to lynch would end the the day.
Frankly it 's almost unfair.It's like scheduling an election day and then going by the results of the first poll wiht a positive result. But okay, that's the way Mafia games are played, now I know.

In some ways everybody is still a noob, due to the fact that each DM (or whatever they are called) can make announced and unexplained game rule changes and other customizations.

I believe you are the second one - I mean advanced player and you're tricking all. Just like Caff tried. Well that's my thoughts...

Well I guess that puts dakky on the 'pretty much not mafia' list. Wonder if it's another day vigilante or poison. Wonder if it's dakky again xD I'm not exactly what we can learn from thor's death cause people's defense of him being noob-like isn't very alignment indicative so I doubt we'll find mafia by looking at them. Only thing I can think of is that I highly doubt that dakky would cause that much pressure on a teammate. Also sorely wishing we actually knew what these dead roles do :S Speaking of roles was thor convincingly pretending to not know he has a janitor on his team or did that unknown role actually surprise him as much as us? If he really didn't know about it maybe the thirdparty isn't a simple cult? I've played games with two mafia factions and it's possible the second one is considered third-party for clarification purposes.
