A replacement would be optimal, but unfortunately deadline is approaching.

I think we can afford to wait 2-3 days for Violet to be replaced, but then we'll have to make a decision one way or another.

Or maybe Violet herself could at least claim?

Agreed, Vio and Streaker both need to be replaced.

I wasn't even going to make an appearance back in this thread. I originally didn't even want to be replaced, as I had a powerful town role. I never had this role before and i thought it would be fun. Also wanted to lay low. Well that didn't work out so well for me. Anark made this game sour for me. But since it will be hard for the mod to find two replacements, and I don't really want to do that to Slash, i will claim.

I am a Town JOAT.

People who sit around and whine how I made the game bad for them should think twice before signing up for another one... This isn't my fault... We were ALL tired of your crap...

Nark, could you lay off the personal attacks?

Vio: Have you used any of your actions, and what commander asked what other restrictions/powers do you have.

The point of this game is that powers are stronger than usual, so I'm presuming you have a more powerful version of the 4 usual joat powers.

Unfortunately, I didn't use my action last night. My Joat powers are a little different this game- as I can't choose which one. I must submit all four actions at once, and one of them will randomly work. I didn't want to risk killing someone, so i decided not to.

I find this role hard to believe... it's awfully convinient as a fake-claim in the sense that it's very hard to test. It's also not very useful to town (assuming you're telling the truth) as you can't really control it, which also makes it very hard to prove you are town.

As for the case itself; although I didn't agree with it to begin with, the subsequent response from Violet under the pressure (inactivity induced or not) was scummy. With the deadline so close I don't think a better target will come about. I'd be happy with a day kill on Violet. Though if we decide to lynch her we won't have to use it and that would free up Saf to use his other powers (or to kill someone else if he/we want). If we don't get a majority vote but there is a majority of players wanting Vio killed I think we should use the DK on her.

From the last post by '/' the deadline is on the 24th I think? Could someone correct me if I'm wrong.

In any case; Vote Violet

So why did you so adamently claim you had a non-killing role when, potentially, you do?

The role seems a bit underpowered if it's true. I do find it a bit hard to believe that you wouldn't target someone anyways because you only have what, a 1 in 4 chance of killing them with a good chance of gaining information on them. I'd take those odds.

1. Investigate
2. protect
3. block
4. kill

I did not want to kill anyone, or block anyone. 50% chance that would happen. Also i didn't want to protect anyone either. Therefore 75% chance of what i don't want, 25% chance of what I want.

I decided i should let more time go by, and try to gain more information, than randomly targeting someone.

Gain more info and select a random target? Sounds counterintuitive. Even with info, I don't see how this role is useful.

Unvote vote Vio

Even if true, this role is much more underwhelming than the usual joat. So either you're not telling us something or your death won't be too much of a loss since your role is nearly unusable.

Vio is now on L-1, just so everyone knows. I support a Vio lynch. It will do one of two things:

1) Eliminate scum.
2) Eliminate anti-town 3rd party.
3) Eliminate useless town role.

Frankly, 1+2 are WAY more likely in my opinion.

Vio has played very manipulatively the entire game, claiming she was cleared of any killing role when she wasn't. We now find out she DOES have a killing role (even if it is only a 25% chance of a kill), so she was blatantly lying about that. I'm suprised that thus far, no one but me has commented on this.

In addition to this, she originally claimed a regular JOAT. She didn't add in the "chance" part of her role until someone asked her to give more details. Isn't that worth noting up front? Sounds like a fake claim that she tried to build onto to make it more believable. Alternatively, it could just be that Vio was pressed for time when she first claimed.

Manipulating town + Sketchy claim = probably anti-town

Wish I had my vote. :(

Also, I would prefer a lynch of Vio to a DK. That will prevent there from being a 50:50 chance of lynching a second target. We don't have time to find a second scummy target with only three days left.

A few things don't add up for me as well regarding Violet, ie. her role doesn't seem to fit the game, seems underpowered, difficult for town.

However, check out this post:

QFT

I believe chappy, as his role reminds me of my own.

She said this after chap claimed his gambler role. I can definitely see the similarity which leads me to believe she's telling the truth about her role but I'm voteless so I can't really do anything about it. Regardless, having a player that could kill/block/investigate a potential scum at 75% would be rather useful.

I think Vio's role is believable. She originally claimed JOAT and there was more to it than that, but that doesn't mean she was trying to hide it lie.

When I initially claimed all I said was role-blocker until prodded for more info. I don't think not telling everything right off the bat is so bad. And F1fth is right, she said before that her role reminded her of mine, and they are similar.

That being said, if she is lying, it does seem like her town role is pretty unusable for the most part. So, I don't mind losing her, but I'm gonna unvote and maybe look at someone else, like Iliad who has just gotten more active recently and seems like he's bandwagoning onto Vio.

I do think we need to end the day on some sort of lynch or kill. Deadline no lynching doesn't help us at all.

Yeah Vio did pretty much the same exact thing as chap, except under different circumstances. I can believe that a juggler would have a random toss-up of roles. It's hard to tell which ball you're picking when you're juggling them up into the air.
