Alright rodion...I see what you meant and I assume it's linked to this post.

Bleed doesn't make sense, you're right.

Guess it's worth following for now. Then we can kill the contradictory saf :)

However, next time, don't assume stuff and try to make the town beleive it. Your case has nothing to do with what role a third character from juliet would have.

4 - There's also this "dolphin" guy lurking in the shadows and surviving only due to his inhuman powers.
5 - Then you start to speculate on 3rd-partys, being only able to name fruits ("watermellon") and have the hardest time ever understanding why there would be "weapon" characters in what is obviously a "fruit game".
6 - Someone asks: "buddy, what's your name?"
7 - Everyone dislikes the question and forces him to ultimately rephrase it.
8 - That guy rephrases his question to "can you at least tell me if you are a fruit?"

That makes your argument much clearer. Unvote and vote bleed for a little more pressure

More like you and ndrs. But we can leave that for some other time, as I can't wait to see what sort of new arguments you two are going to bring against me.

Now I see where Rodion is going with this, quite clever. I'd put some pressure on Bleed_Green, but it seems that certain people *ahem freezie and ndrs ahem* think that I'm pushing for the easy lynch, so I'll wait and hammer later if need be.

Well probably one of the key items to consider is how are the Knights Templar considered in the literature of the time span we are talking about? If they are villains then ndrs may have a point if they aren't then his position is less certain. Either way I would say it looks like the shadowy figure is probably the bigger threat either way.

@rodion: fair enough. That had been my original interpretation but your subsequent posts made me doubt what you meant. Also I feel the same way about my case on vio. Lol.

Don't think so. There is no indication that the Templars attempted any kill from the scene...

*A letter is being written*

Dear Elizabeth,
I've just wanted to write that I'm fine and I've been doing well. There has been lots of unrest lately with all those religious conflicts (I feel so old!) and all kinds of bandits hanging around, but I'm confident I'll pull it through. I really don't have all that much time as I have to go back working to our guild master (what a prick he is...) and I don't want to lose my apprenticeship status.

As soon as I'll be done this year with training and I'll go to visit our local Cardinal, I'll be returning. Since I know that no one else back at home will be able to read this, just do what you always do - go to the Church. Best of luck and may God be with you!

Yours,
Henry.

Okay here is the information that you were wanting.. I am giving it up right away so we can proceed with other actual leads that will have a positive outcome for the town.

I am Dante Alighieri the Intellectual, I am a poet who has been thought by others to be above Shakespeare.

Interesting case Rodion. It is very convoluted though and I think that was its main downfall. So that is an interesting character. I haven't been able to figure out exactly how this whole thing fits together... It might be a "Great Books of the Western World" theme or something of the sort... or just a general medieval as others have supposed.

Townsville was first explored by James Cook in the late 18th Century. Since there could be another Townsville (in Europe perhaps):

Lorient: Founded 1628... pretty much a worldly town from the beginning; Our story starts 1628 at the earliest (if it is linear)
For other reference, in case it helps:

Malmo: Founded 1275, became famous in 15th century
Naples: Totally Ancient

Romeo and Juliet was written in the 16th century, but is a timeless masterpiece. Conrad de Montferrat was killed in the 12th Century. Dante Alighieri was 13th Century. Knights Templar were founded 12th Century.

There is probably some time traveling character here. None of this may help, but if it does help Rodion develop some more theories, it might aid the process.

So you decide to claim when there are about 3-5 votes on you? I didn't bother going back a lot of pages for an accurate count, but there are ONLY 3 votes for you on the last 3 pages... in a game this size it means nothing.

Would you just like everyone to claim when they are investigated? I thought claiming would be a last resort ...

I think this is just a nameclaim though. Poet isn't a role I'm aware of. As for the great books theory, which book mentions the Knights Templar? Assassin's Creed?

I may have a theory but I need to know where Knight Templar literature originates. A search of both the person who died in the scene and the Knights Templar with various other words to help narrow the search has proven more frustrating than productive.

Interesting. I might be able to help, I'm quite familiar with Templar history.

For start, Henry never rang a bell with me. On the other hand, the one he'd be protecting did.

If you'd be willing to share your theory, I'll be able to see how accurate it is to a historical background. Maybe we can determine allignment, or even a secundary WC for the Templars...

I'm not sure about what you want. Are you looking for the earliest possible reference to the Templars in books? Or do you want a historical background to the Templars?

Have you ever read Dan Brown's 'Da Vinci Code'?

Well to be honest my theory goes beyond just templar speculation into set up speculation. I am starting to notice a pattern but this pattern is useless unless the Templar fits in so I need to know the origin of literature about the Knight Templar.[BigImg][/BigImg]

In books most likely predating dan brown's book by a hundred years or so.

Too bad. I can't help you with a list of books. Though if you could somehow specify what you are looking for... Does it have to do with Christianity in any way?

No, I was only proving that the Templars very well could be anti-Town. I'm not sure if they are or not, but given that we don't know, I wanted to point out that you acted scummy when you said:

safariguy5 wrote:Although I'm not 100% sure what the alignments are, I'm pretty sure the Knights Templar are town.

And the case on you was more than that. It was also about vote hopping, fluffing, and trying for easy targets (Namlaim, me), avoiding real cases, etc. It is not a very solid case, I will give you that, but all the small things about you stacks up pretty good.

You say that you're not a Knight, it could still be that you are Templar monk or some other Templar associate? Or just plain scum.

That said, if no one else finds this case legit, I'll just let it rest for now and look for other leads.

So what's the point all of this? Admittedly from a simple case building perspective this is fairly weak. I could add that she has defended saf but I am not convinced by the case on saf nor do I see her defending saf as much as she is setting her sights on freezie. My point is that I do not find this behavior very typical of vio as town. She has remained mostly isolated from discussion that does not meet some agenda that she seems to have and usually I see her go against at least one day one lynch based on some reason or another. Here she really stayed out of the way of most wagons. Admittedly she did miss a lot of the shield and other day one wagons, but she has had no comment about nam, rodion's case on bleed, target and she's only commented on saf as much as it seems to affect some agenda she has against freezie.

I was inactive for most of Day 1's discussions. its a bit hard for me to follow and comment on, especially after the fact. This game left me rather quickly and it still does.

I can however comment on what I do understand.

So you asked for:
Comment @ nam : absolutely nothing
rodion's case on bled: it was weird, and i don't like Shakespeare- so i don't really follow
target: i've said nothing about him.
saf: I've seen nothing wrong with his game play so far, and wondered why freezie was being so hard on them.
hidden agenda on freezie: yes this is true

Now the topic shifts towards Dan Brown, and I don't know who that is. Nor what he has to do with this game. I will comment when I can, and if I figure something out.

I am not sure I can place any book specifically about them... however, there are I am sure numerous histories on them. Furthermore, a lot of the Holy Grail stories have to do with the templar.

Stories about the holy grail could be a good bet if we're looking on a theme inpspired by popular literature/quasi-history.
