Sigh fine. I slipped up. I wanted him to post his case on me because he's pretty much confirmed as the hound. I wanted to see how everyone else reacted to it. Especially since I am not worried about claiming and the case on me would lead nowhere.

My saying I don't believe him was just one last attempt in trying to get scum to jump on something that's BS. It's obviously not going to work though since everyone pretty much knows he's confirmed...

Could have worked against a few of the rookies here, but the intent of the hand wasn't clear enough for those who knew the truth. Not certain what we would have done if someone did take your bait there.

Edoc even states in his accusation it's not a rock solid case, so I dont really see what i have to defend. My previous statement about the hammer vote would place my vote ahead of Chap's if I didnt get a phone call. My D1 vote was 2 days AFTER Chap's vote so not sure how that classifies as "shortly" after chaps vote.

So you had a phone call and were fast posted...ok. why didn't you check what had been posted since you wrote it out on the votes.? I can buy the phone call excuse overall but i'd still like an answer to that as there really doesn't seem to be any other cases right now.

I don't buy it. Even if that is true it is rather inexcusable to hammer by accident. It shows a lack of care for the lynching process the is indicative of scum.

That's why I am voting you, it was scummy and rushed. Hammering is risky business when you haven't got solid logic for doing so. The only real defense to prove voting was the logical decision.

Unvote Vote jonty

This part I am having an issue with BG. The reason I am having an issue with it, is why you were wanting to put him so close to a Hammer vote? If you are willing to put him that close then you should not have the problem putting the hammer down. Especially since he claimed already there was no really point for wanting to put him close to a lynch. I see bringing someone close to a lynch is apply pressure for a claim.

I'm not biting on the BG case. I believe it was an accident. And quite honestly, was there even one of you who believed jonty? Anyone? No. Jonty was not providing an adequate defense at all. I'm talking 0% believable here. He would have been hammered regardless and anyone could have done it.

I'm far, far more suspicious of those who were the first ones on jonty than those who were on the bandwagon close to the end. It was far more scummy IMO to be leading that case than following it. For example, nag jumped on it immediately. He didn't question the idea that jonty was lying and was the one to lead the case.

My reads right now:

Town:
Edoc
Rodion
Kwan

Neutral:
PCM
Bleed
BG
/

Possible scum:
Strike
Haggis

WTF?!:
Victor_Sullivan

IMHO I get townie vibes from people who are more suspicious of CASES rather than PLAYERS and this case against BG is extremely weak at best. These reads I have are based on the general tone of people's posts and voting patterns. By no means is it definitive and my reads on any one of you can change.

Also, I have no idea what to think of VS here. His posts are pound for pound the most confusing series of posts I have ever seen in a game. That's not to say it's bad, VS. I just have no idea what to think of your claim and the non-content of your other posts. You could be scum. You could be town. You might even be a jester (far-fetched but a possibility). But I am not fully convinced your claim was real.

Fair enough. Its the WIFOM and the inability to rationalize his actions now that has me on his case. The hammer was going to happen, we all though Jonty was scum. But after Hammering and now saying it was an "Oops" makes me feel like his is trying to cover his tracks. I cannot decide if I think he is a scum trying to play CYA or if its just a rookie mistake.

I would agree with you except for the fact that BG posted immediately when the day started saying that the hammer was an accident and explained that he got a work related call. It was the second post of today (game day). That makes me think he is being truthful. He's also relatively new which adds to the validity.

ABWOP:

Should explain my reasoning a bit further. BG posted that before anyone even accused him of a scummy hammer.

Agreed with this. With the amount of scuminess that jonty had been giving off, I would've felt comfortable betting money on that lynch.

I'm still curious as to why you claimed in the first place. It was completely out of the blue and done in a rather suspicious way. I feel like you were trying to bait someone into doing something, but I'm not sure who or what.

I stick by my earlier assessment that I believe Sully's claim and unless someone's willing to counterclaim him, I think Barriston would be in this game and I think the role flavor makes sense for him being a hated townie (for the record a hated townie is usually defined as a townie that requires one less vote to lynch).

Well, I re-read half of this. 2 things:

1.
strike wolf wrote: Beyond that I remember getting more people seeming townish on my reread than scum though I recall one post standing out. Just want to double check that it is the person I thought it was before I end up running my mouth off stupidly.

Did I miss where you elaborate on this? or did you decide not to?

2. Basically I don't like what Sully is doing.

Here's his actions:

D1. Nothing. Yes, he replaced, but he still had 4 days in which to contribute on the rather divisive issue of how to handle safari.

D2. He claims, and that's all he does.
He also says we'll find out why he claimed "soon enough" ...

D3.
Victor Sullivan wrote:NOM NOM NOM, I eat your fingers of suspicion! I haven't really had much to say... I've already claimed, so I didn't feel particularly obligated to post a "Hey, guys, what's up?"

I can't quite put my finger on it, but Bleed_Green seems scummy to me... Not entirely convinced about the BG 'case', if you want to call it that, but I can't say it doesn't have merit.

-Sully

Read as: I claimed, therefore I won't defend myself. Also, I want to vote BG, but don't want to be too obvious, so I'm saying I find him "suspicious" without providing any reasoning.

Victor Sullivan wrote:
edocsil wrote:That is complete WIFOM.

Read as: Coolio, let's reinforce the fact that I'm suspicious of the guy before I vote him.

Victor Sullivan wrote:  Believe what you want, I've made my claim. And jester? Please. I wouldn't have claimed Barristan Selmy and I certainly would have gotten myself lynched earlier than this! I'm almost insulted you think I couldn't get myself lynched!

Read as: Again, i made my claim, therefore I'm not defending myself.

Sorry, but it's not good enough for me. iliad has stressed that scum have fake claims. You drop a name claim for no apparent reason, and use that fact to avoid having to explain your actions in the rest of the game.

Victor, why did you claim?

As is my bad habit, I try to dedicate myself to a reread and then don't get around to finishing it for several days (as of yesterday I was on page 22). It doesn't help that I'm a bit more into my other games than this one at the moment.
