May I be the first to say that what you are saying about Daze makes absolutely no sense AoG?

You are basically contradicting yourself what you are saying would imply that Daze would know how to avoid suspicion which wouldn't be true for most if not all first time players. FOS: AoG for flawed logic.

Are you kidding? The last thing you do if you're scum playing your first ever game would be "HEY LOOK AT ME OVER HERE". I believe daze is older than 10 so she probably gets this, but since she isn't scum she doesn't think she should control herself.

All right. Firstly I'm sorry for being mostly absent until this point. On the upside I got a good read of the thread and an overall impression of day 1 so far. Here are my opinions on scumtells and discussions so far

daze-almost 100% doomed to be lynched day 1. Day 1 lynch is usually a newbie who dropped too many scumtells and drew too much attention and it's the case with daze. She's been submarining, skimming, admitted to communicating with vioiet, and worst of all does not seem interested in answering back at the attacks made against her. Still I think there are more interesting cases right now.

vioiet-for me one of the scummiest of the day so far. Almost all posts concerned with either protecting daze directly by defending her or indirectly by directing attention away from her. Could be just friends, however seems far too concerned with defending daze.

saxlad-has caught my eye as well. Firstly because he posts quite regularly, but doesn't really add too much to the discussion, many posts just vote hopping.

plus that pink really doesnt do anything for my headache.

Seems far too content to let the town decide on any lynch and not really keen on finding mafia.

I think the more scummy think about that is the fact that Naggy has been scumarining this whole Day 1 and his few posts have been like this, with the bandwagon, it seems like a nice way to survive. Go with the majority and don't draw your attention to yourself. Nag is a good play and I expect better from him.

However if she's scum, this people are less likely to be scum themselves and those defending her, especially noobs may be scum. Because of how Dazy has polarized this game her lynch is probably the most logical one even if she isn't the most scummy (but if she isn't, she sure it close). Seeing her alignment will tell us quite a bit about others.

I honestly don't find this scummy by any means. There have been many players with similar reasoning, and to vote for nagerous for this seems silly to me. I think you need to read up more

In summary, I think our next step is to get daze to a role-claim position and go from there. It's a more substantial piece to off of than possible BWers, which at this point could be any of the 12 people that voted for daze, excluding myself, as I voted her first.

In this case, Vincent is exactly right. You complain that there are a lot of votes on dazerazer already, but you provide little in the way of actual production of leads yourself except for a rather watered-down weak-willed vote on me. Except, your logic in your vote is way off. You haven't at all for example analysed the context of my vote on dazerazer. If you look at the page it was taken on, the game was clearly getting very messy - as illustrated by thesaxlad's outbursts about the cops. Also, you have conveniently ignored freezie's vote or in fact if you continue to page back all of the previous votes, which you will also find that I FOSed on page 16 because of the fact that some of the logic people were presenting for a lynch on dazerazer has been very weak indeed. Here are a few examples for your benefit:

However, ga7 originally applied some real logic behind a dazerazer lynch and once you reach page 20 for a game it iso hs best to lynch someone who has at least come accross as rather scummy with their sudden appearance after being FOSed alongside with her strange alliance with vioIet which reaks of them both being scum buddies.. I believe daze would be the best lynch for the day hence my pushing the town in that direction, when we were starting to get bogged down in random claims/fights and irrelevancy. If we don't get the lynch/a claim from dazerazer soon this day will extend and extend, the submariners will continue to submarine and inactivty will develop making leads harder to find. I just think the town will benefit from a lynch now, it is day 1 in a 30 player game, even if it is a mislynch it won't matter in the grand scheme of things as we can all re-evaluate on day 2.

Perhaps a quick explanation of how role claiming works could be in order? When the town has reached the point where you have become the favored candidate for a lynch and your efforts to defend yourself have not prevented you from being placed a couple votes sort of a lynch, then your next recourse is to claim your role.
When you do so you can't simply copy and paste stuff from your role pm to the thread, this breaks the game and will get you modkilled and banned. What you can do is, usually, state your role (I.E. Doctor, Cop, Vanilla Townie, Busdriver...) and, if you are a power role, any actions that you have taken to date. Since it is day 1, there probably haven't been many actions taken just yet. In game that has named characters, such as this one, you may be expected to post your character's name as well.

An Example could look like:
I am John Doe, Cop. On night 1 I investigated Harry Truman and got innocent. On Night 2 I investigated Lee Harvey Oswald and got guilty.

If enough of the townspeople believe your role claim, doing so may prevent your lynch. Of course, if you are widely believed to be a townie then you become an attractive target for the scum to kill. For reasons such as these role claims are normally reasoned for when a player is otherwise doomed to be lynch, or when they can present game changing evidence.

On a side note, theoretically, daze could be lying (probably posted the actual name of her character but switched the role, IF she lied), though I'm not inclined to believe she is on account of her newbie-ness and therefore inability to make a convincing fake role-claim. Thus, I have unvoted.

We could easily convict her as scum if someone else has a town roleblocker role, as I don't believe Squirrel would include 2 town roleblockers. I really wish you had claimed before f-ing page TWENTY-SEVEN. Say, that there is actually more than one role-blocker or that Daze is lying - do you think that he would and should just give a way his identity and become a target? Personally, I'd say at this precise moment, absolutely nothing is clear and you can't be sure about anyone telling truth or lie. Vio is right, and it is clear that they often talk on this site so she was probably just clarifying some of the rules to help daze with the game AKA no posting of WCs, no quoting PMS etc.. so I wouldn't go down this avenue too much blake.
