Deadline has been reached. Since Nagerous inherited a tainted role, I am having him replace Squirrels Hat. I will send him a new pm. I'll also prod people who haven't posted in a while (Senfive for example)

Well that is major submarining. Ahem, vote nag

i see the lodgic in this vote nag

Weak 'lodgic.' Despite the fact that I have been voted by 2 numbskulls, I will provide an expansive post tomorrow, sorry about lack of attendance I know it is disappointing, but it isn't like I am the only criminal here...

Glad to have you back Nag, and I'm looking forward seeing your expansive post. We need more of them in this game. I've read back again, but there's too many unknowns for me to be able to extrapolate anything from at this point except for a few players appearing townish to me.

FOS WERCOOL for the blatant bandwagon based on hardly any evidence

(Also, can we get a prod on captainwalrus?)

CW is reading everything and following the thread, don't worry. I have just been to busy to really post. I will later though.

Yes, the Nag thing was a colossal mess but if you've seen any of my posts before where I hinted that the bandwagon was just for show, and then my subsequent posts where I explained that the bandwagon was just for show, you'd know well that it was, well... just for show. I'm disappointed that Nag was actually killed (did any of you guys know it was coming?) but again I realize it's no fault of the mod who had announced the kill beforehand.

With all that out of the way, we also have some interesting developments. I'm getting a townish vibe from gregwolf. I can see how someone could interpret his willingness to off a person is suspicious, given that if he were scum he could get a free blameless scum kill but to me he just seems like a townie trying to generate some activity. Nevertheless, it'll be a good idea to keep an eye on him.

I also believe coyboyz claim. I know there are several different variations of bodyguard (some protect and die, some just protect, some even kill the attacker). I'll just say that unless you find the information to be beneficial to the town that you keep the specifics to yourself.

Welcome Rainbow Eater... careful where you point your gun. :P

As for potential leads, we have a few players flying under the radar, but know that we know SFX's alignment, we might be able to make a few connections (even though he said all of two things here). I'll report back if I have anything.

Well we are no-where. I thought nag replaced someone after being killed. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I replaced safariguy who was a vanilla townie, then got lynched with like 3 votes on me.. safariguy realised he screwed up somewhat and allowed me to replace again, this time squirrels hat - where once again I pick up more votes.

Sorry, I didn't remember I wasn't posting.
I still say our greatest tool are our guns, if possible we should kill as many suspects during the days as reasonably possible, (not suggesting anyone in particular) the less nights scum has the better, but the main point is if we follow this course of action we must follow through until we hit the cult leader or significant members of mafia. Still I will keep my gun holstered until we are in agreement, or someone could disagree, as long as everyone doesn't just pretend I didn't say a thing for the third time.

Firing at people who we simply suspect does about as much good as just about everyon picking names out of a jar to shoot and since we only have one bullet each the only people this would really help are the mafia and cult. Furthermore, this has been explained before in this thread (at least twice I believe). To try to say something like that makes me feel that you are in fact scum.

I'd pick random names out of a jar, if one of those names happened to be doubling like a virus between nights.
I understand your logic, but my point is this, what good does having nights do for the town? Alright there is the occasional good investigation that may get the ball rolling, but in the end other roles, such as doctors, busdrivers, or roleblockers, only exist in order to negate the damage scum does every night, if we forgo the night completely our luck is that much better and the odds stay in our favor.

Picture it this way, lets say the were 10 townies 1 cult recruiter 2 mafia, 1 SK for 14 players total

Lets say we hit our ideal and lynch scum night one, as long as the three groups are intact we will lose three townies a night, by way of two kills and one conversion, the next day our odds are theoretically
7 townies, 2 cult, 1 mafia, 1 SK

This will continue every night until the end of the game, thus ideally if we initiate an attack day one (or as early as possible) we would have a gamble of 10/4 to work with rather than 7/4, even if we killed three innocent townies by accident in the process, as long as we hit the cult leader, the two mafia, or the SK we would theoretically be one townie better than if a night had existed since there wouldn't be a kill/recruit.

I admit I wouldn't suggest this yet if there were only killers, but with a known active recruiter out there, if we lynch anyone there will be one more enemy tomorrow, and the next day, etc. and I don't like those odds in a game loaded with guns.

BUT, the problem is what if we waste 5 townies before hitting the leader? Or even 2? That makes it a helluva lot easier for the mafia.

I think the key here is that there is no way to careful except by limiting who is killed to one or possibly two people per day. There is a good chance that if we go down the list and make a lot of kills during one day that scum will hop in on the confusion and throw out a few pot shots (especially if they can get close to a victory), and also if any of our good guys shoot, that's one less vig we have to use.

My suggestion would be to vote on the two most suspicious people and have the second most kill the first most. That way, we get rid of not only the most suspicious player but also take away the shot of another suspicious player. What do you guys think?

(I apologize if this is a bit hard to understand, I'm kinda sick :( ).

I like the suggestion. Using some shots can give us an advantage but only if we choose correctly. If we choose wrong, we are just making this game a super quick one.
With both cult and mafia if we by chance take out 2 townies...things wont be looking too great. Gotta go over this in my head and see what are chances are and how we should do this.

Another thing. Who will be the ones to use their shots? I know greg volunteered earlier. Should we just ask for volunteers or what?
