No it's not the same, but since it's messed up you have to read it more carefully to see what has been added. I would have gladly fixed the error and it wouldn't have effected the thread continuity or been a deception in any way because it was still the last post, but just to be on the safe side I did not do that.

You think I'm scum because my first post in day 2 was to clear up my last day 1 post? Righto, keep puffing brah. Are you possibly a lyncher cause your idea of what consitutes scum habits is pretty dumb IMO.

I want to know why benga chose to target Caff on night 1 out of everyone else. I think it could be likely that mafia also chose Caff to kill for several reasons. 1) he's a new player here, no one would care (several players I would put in this category). 2) he seemed confident in his game playing abilities and that is a huge threat.

Also, Dakky, STFU and give Thor a break. Theyre' a new player, either fucking vote for him or not rather than just constantly stating "I'm gonna vote for you for using the newbie card, you newb!" Guess what Dakky, you're also a new player who made similar mistakes to Thor. They're learning, they're asking questions, they're trying to understand this game. As every mafia game is different - with different mechanics, players, storyline, I think it is completely fine for Thor to be asking so many questions. Instead of being a hostile f*ck, maybe help them. Honestly, your whole attitude to Thor and to how some game mechanics work in other games just cements my thought of you as a POS.

Now Thor - yes you have until the 28th to actually cast a vote. However, it is highly suspicious if you don't give your thoughts or vote to who you think is scum in the mean time. You're not Mitch 2.0 because honestly, at least you're actually trying to get better rather than do the same thing every game.

I'm gonna echo Skitz here. Back it up or back off Dakky. Your attempt to start a pissint contest with Thor has basically started to go in circles. It's annoying to read and you aren't convincing me to vote thor. If anything you're starting to dissuade me.

@Thor: I appreciate you are trying to learn but the best way to learn mafia is to partocopate in forming cases and questioning people on their actual play. I don't mean that you should stop asking questions about general game mechanics but i would like to see you throw in some more of your own input. No one's expecting a perfect case from you but they are expecting more than just you semi-OMGusing towards your most aggressive attacker.

Right now you're either town playing too much of an innocent until proven guilty mentality. In which case that's fine from a voting perspective but doesn't really work from a general game play perspective. Everything we say during the day, everyone we suspect, everyone we town read helps guide night actions and if were doing it right, we guide them in the right direction. Or you may be scum and this whole not getting involved really is an act to keep you from having to say too much. Of course, we've already given you the hints on how you can dissuade those viewpoints from you.

@Caff: for the record, from what I can gauge I would think your aggressiveness is probably non-alignment indicative. That said, I believe it was primarily Benga who claimed it was scummy acting that way.

As far as my earlier post it came from when Benga called out Masket on seeming to not know about third parties. pika replied on the subject and your first reply I quoted seemed to hint knowledge but the second confessed you hadnt. This to me makes your first post feel fake and I basically got from it the same thing Chu did.

That's like saying you think it's fine to go back after a school exam has finished to write some answer clarifications because you thought it wasn't clear enough as it was. You think an examiner is gonna let you do that?
Same rules apply here kiddo. And that's essentially the Numero Uno rule of mafia.
What it does do however is it makes you 'git gud' at proof checking yer posts. And you can always Edit By Way of Posting (EBWOP). Literally most players make a posting error at least once a game and have to do it. No shame whatsoever there.

This is an interesting post for a couple of reasons. First off the defeated logic that Caff could be repeatedly blocked and thusly weaken the mafia. While it seemed tempting I think Pika's argument was stronger espeically since the mods want the game to be balenced. I wonder if Masket thought of that when he made the post or not.

What's more conserning is him saying that scum are the lesser threat. While yes scum are less scary than cult at this point, it has to be noted that lynching scum is the name of the game. The scum can lao skill the cult themselves. Keeping around scum just because they're not cult is stupid unless the cult is at the verge of victory. Masket should know very well what the illusion of cult and their powerfulness can do. He was in Lion King as mafia where arguments for a cult diverted the game and wasted a day on a terrible lynch idea. While Caff is not a known scum it is not surprising that some people are looking for who might be the scummiest overall, not just who is cult. To do the opposite I think would be even scummier.

You're completely right that mandy's cult lunacy completely scuppered town's chances in LK mafia. That's why it'd be nice to have something concrete to go on in this way.

Things I Think I Know. Part 1

Growing consensus that there are three groups: town, mafia/scum and the Thorian cult.
Size of groups unknown, but town must be larger than mafia and the cult probably starts at one but may add a member each night (if not blocked).
Roles within groups can vary from game to game, but mafia must have killers, town must have blockers (or jailers/similar),Thorian must be able to recruit.

No lynch on Day 1, no kill on Night 1.
benga claims IAC was jailed. This seems to be accepted as fact by most.
This suggest IAC was a killer or target, but other possibilities exist.

Factors such as silence, posting rate, personality traits, degree of willingness to accuse, newness to game, etc may be taken as factors determining role and group membership.

1. The pace of this game is slower than I realized. Day 2 is two weeks in length. Therefore, to avoid spinning around in circles over a very paltry amount of evidence I will henceforth make only short posts every few days, unless I have strong new evidence or suspicions. I hope this will be seen as just common-sense, and not suspicious, but I guess I'll find out. I'll keep checking in to read the new posts, but at this point I think only DDS's post will be contributing new information. Everything else just seems like repetitive blind speculation.
However, I do think it is probably necessary to lynch somebody today just to get the game moving forward.

2. Mafia games are largely the opposite of proper investigative procedure. The irrelevant and circumstantial evidence that would normally be thrown out counts for a lot in this game. I accept this, as the game has a large dialectic-dramatic role-playing component, but it also makes one wary and a little paranoid. Merely getting noticed can make one a suspect. It's like that expression, ''The nail that sticks up will get hammered flat''.

2. Again, you put yourself in charge of a CSI unit. You are not the investigator, you are the player as anyone else. You can be scum. Yours attitude suggests you are a newb and town, but you can be also playing the newb card while being scum. I still don't trust you.

See, what I find scummy about you dakky is that you're always building straw house to put me on the defensive. There is no substance to much of what you say, but just by saying it with the voice of authority it may become taken as fact. If you keep pointing fingers without much reason, it begins to be a reason to point a finger right back at you.

Completely understandable, and yes for some reason benga associates confidence with being godfather. Nothing else, just literally godfather.

I think in other posts I've made it quite clear I don't know for sure if there's 3rd party or not. In terms of lore, I don't know anything about Mess Effect and I haven't researched it. I don't even know who Shepherd is. The reasoning behind my post at Pikachu was more in jest than anything.
