Or it was a modkill since mitch copied a lot from PM... but just not said it was a modkill.

I considered that angle but rejected it. I feel like SW would have said it was a modkill if it was a modkill.

Since balance is not included... and since rule #3 said
This is a serious offence and will earn you an automatic modkill

I don't think it's not possible... just written differently...

That certainly is random.
Care to elaborate on it or just say it's a random vote for the sake of it?

Pretty sure the mod would have stated that Mitch had violated a rule and was modkilled for it, kind of crucial to know these sort of things.

Mafia could be killing via poison that kills the player off randomly during the day. But, considering the target and him dying after claiming, it probably is a daykilling role, and normally i'd doubt that it was mafia but this setup is "balanced not included" so it could be almost anything.

It's possible it was a mod kill. I feel that if it was a day kill it would of had to of been skin and not 3rd party simply because what would they gain from killing a cop compqres to skim killing a cop?

Samlen kinda odd you introduce a exact theory as to what caused the kill instead of just saying 3rd party or skim kill you specifically say poison.

He's simply eliminating possibilities, jumping on him for a theory that is plausible and echoing what others are already claiming is pretty scummish Tim.

Despite saying that you're not suspicious of those who did. Do people playing senselessly doens't strike you as scummy. That's what I'm taking with me from our back and forth.

I'm not the one who has an issue here. Anyone who says that it made sense to attack mitch as scummy is either (a) revealing their own scumminess, now that it is revealed he is likely town or (b) was apparently so bad at this game that they could not think of literally any other scenario for mitch saying what he said, including the completely obvious scenarios of him being something like a town cop or town doctor. Pick your poison.

While I don't necessarily disagree with that, one playing with mitch for the first time would look at those scenarios and think, "That can't be what he's saying," since it would be playing poorly to reveal that you're town cop/doc/what not without anything incriminating evidence to slay scum. Therefore, I'm saying that an obvious leap would be to think that he's scummy of sorts.

1) Why would anyone voting him be his killer? 2) Why are you going random?

Mafia day kill seems plausible given the lack of nighkill. Or it could be a daytime vig, but I certainly wouldn't risk it even if I thought mitch was scummy. This is why you don't claim with a pocket full of nothing, Mitch.

Eh. I could see someone who has never played mafia before making this logical leap. But anyone who has played at least a decent number of mafia games before has to know that it's very rare to just get handed a scum slip on a silver platter like that. I mean really, how many times has that ever happened?

I've experienced at least a few times in clan games. Obviously by noobs, so maybe that sort of defeats my own logic now that I think of it. :?

I know exactly what has happened now. It is not a mafia day kill nor a vig kill. Mitch would have died last night however the killer's action was delayed from night-phase to day-phase; by me targeting Ragian. I wasn't sure if my action succeded last night or what it achieved until the mid-day scene just now.

To perhaps better explain it, whoever I chose to target (Ragian), their action would be delayed until the day-phase (Mitch's day death). It is the best explanation that fits.

I know I am risking getting targeted by scum tonight coming out with this but I feel 100% certain this will result in a scum lynch and is perhaps the best use I could hope for with this ability.

Okay, that actually makes sense, and I do have a night action, so I understand where you're coming from. But neither did I target Mitch, nor is my action malign. At least we know from Mitch's action (barring any foul play) that you're town, so while you're on the wrong track, there's no need for an OMGUS vote.

While I agree with Legion and have a feeling that Ragian is saying the truth, in a weird game like this with a weird mechanics, we should be careful. It is possible that someone else targeted Ragian and/or switched him with someone. So maybe someone else's action ended on Mitch while it looks like Ragian did it.

Nice! legion is confirmed town now, and while I suppose it's possible that some other mechanic is at play here, this is by far the best scum hint we have (or are likely to get) today.

I agree with Mets. This is as good as it gets. It's just wrong. I do not discard what Legion has found, and to me he's playing it the way he ought to. I'm wary of anyone jumping onto the case in a hurry, though. That must go on record.

That is also true. Even if there is a bus driver, he surely won't claim and there is no possible way to find if there was a ride last night.

Of course. We shouldn't all jump on it and insta-lynch you, that would be a big mistake. But at least a few people need to put votes in just to make sure that we don't let the day waste away -- this game has been pretty weak on activity and I'd rather err on the side of activity as a result.

Wait, what? I didn't add any information to what you already had, and you went from "we should be careful" to "this is obviously correct?"

Wow interesting developments. Can you not give us any information now? By holding off it makes you look pretty suss, if you have a defence it shouldn't need preparation.

Either way Mitch seems an odd target for a NK and that has to be viewed as a mitigating factor in the defence.

Yeah this makes the most sense so far and the likelihood of a different mechanic popping up isn't likely. I'll wait until ragian puts his story before I give my thoughts and what could've happened.

You've had until previously and (now) to write your story, I'm a little confused why we should wait if you're unwilling to explain it in the past few posts after legion made his claim?
Perhaps you're coming back to edit your story.
