Yeah, kinda what I thought. At least I won't get hung. Good to know we got the secret voter, and one who I suspect isn't town. Once get back home I am going to see if there is anyone who hasn't voted yet. I am not certain if the day will end or not, but I would love to find whoever tried to hang me.

A Stroke of Luck?

EXT. CITY STREET - SUNDOWN

The town is gathered once again at the crossroads of death. The two bodies are being taken away in ambulances. SHEEPOFDUMB looks around the crowd, his eyes settling on EDOCSIL. He approches Edoc.

SHEEP: Say edoc, what do you think of safari's death? Why do you think he died?

EDOC (he shrugs): Bad luck, I suppose.

NAGEROUS and FIRCOAL approach the conversation.

CHU: I think there was more than luck at work.

NAG: Maybe you think yours is better?

EDOC: I'll take my chances.

CHU: The chances of you getting lynched are pretty high.

EDOC: We'll see about that.

A much larger crowd begins to gather around Edoc.

TG (on the approach): Oh will we?

EDOC: Alright, how about we all flip a coin? If more people get heads, I go free for tonight. If there are more tails, I'll hang. Sound far?

STREAK: Sounds like a fair deal to me.

Each person takes out a coin and flips. 9 coins land on the ground, all of them heads.

EDOC: Well that settles that. Good night all.

Edoc leaves as the town stands bewildered.

VIO: Oh well. Perhaps it's better this way.

SPIESR: Something's not right here

SPIESR examines the coins on the ground.

COMM: What is it?

SPIESR: They're all double-sided.

FADE TO BLACK

It is now NIGHT 1. Send in all actions by 4 PM EST (GMT-4). Day 2 will begin when all actions are received or once the deadline has passed.

A Dark Night

EXT. ROOFTOP - NIGHT

Nagerous stands perched over the intersection of death. His watchful eyes survey the whole of the streets. His focus is nearly unbreakable.

???: Don't move!

A gun is pointed at his head from a short distance. Nagerous remains motionless, his eyes examining the pavement below.

NAG: What do you want?

???: Revenge.

NAG: It's not all it's cut out to be.

???: You ought to know. You know why? Because I know who you really are!

Nagerous turns to face his assailant, but is shot before he can make a move. He falls from the building into the street below. The attacker searches himself for something, but soon stops and looks over the balcony as if he had no recollection of the events. Somewhat frightened, he turns and runs away.

Nagerous AKA Batman (Batman Begins, 2005/The Dark Knight, 2008) Pro-Town Bogeyman

has been killed. Day 2 has begun. With 8 alive it takes 6 to lynch. No deadline, but I again reserve the right to impose one.

6 take lynch? Interesting...

Anyways... GAH! I didn't see that coming - definitely a big loss. I can also say that I know who Edocsil is - but not sure if it's a good idea to undisclose that now. Furthermore, that character has 2 sides, so I'm not sure whether he's evil or not, but he starts out good and turns evil and I'm afraid that the lynch could have triggered it.
But... It was so artistically done.

The hell does does that scene mean?

I assume everyone gets who I am, that scene was pretty clear. Any idea who could fit our killer, it isn't a character I am familiar with.

And Com, your right, I honestly expected to turn during the night, but I did not. VT now, my ability was a one shot.

I'm not sure if I trust you right now, apologies. I do have someone else in mind, but I won't vote until I get back home and until I can post something.

As far as the kill goes, the scene could suggest a couple things:
1) Dominic Cobb could have incepted idea about the kill.
2) (much more likely) the killer is Leonard Shelby.
But... It was so artistically done.

Which scene, the night one? I would says that commander is probably right when he says that the identity of the killer is the guy from Memento.
Commander9 wrote:2) (much more likely) the killer is Leonard Shelby.
But, what sort of role does he have? The guy he killed in the movie was shieldgenerator, and therefor is already dead. (Although the character has most likely forgotten that by now...) I could possibly see that character as having to kill a him for his win condition, but it seems his is killing still. I guess the he could simply be a vig, possibly even one that has to kill everyone, since he keeps forgetting about already having had his revenge and whatnot. Other possibilities still exist though, but I am not sure what exactly they could be. that role may or may not be pro-town. I don't exactly see it as being mafia, but it could be a role that keeps killing people, making it a liability even if its win condition isn't anti-town.

Wait, do you actually have some hard information about edocsil's role, or do you just assume it based on what we have seen? It it is just the latter then there is no reason to keep it a secret that you think he is Harvey Dent/Two Face. I think you may be onto something when you theorize that the failed lynch on him may cause him to flip alignments. In that case, do we want to try and lynch him today? It sure would have been more convenient if Leonard had killed him instead of the goddamn Batman. Maybe the Joker would be so kind as to take care of it today? Or maybe that would make it even worse?

Speaking of the Batman, anybody know what exactly a Bogeyman does? Is it some variant on roleblocker, becuase if so, I think I may have been affected by it last night.
Commander9 wrote:6 take lynch? Interesting...
Well, that follows along from yesterday where it was always one extra vote to lynch for some reason. Presumably related to the mystery vote that hammered(?) yesterday.

Flavour is pretty clear in both cases. Edoc is harvey (the coins leave very little room for someone else), and Leonard Shelby is the only one I can think of who kills and forgets about it.

I wouldn't mind hanging edoc today, as Harvey eventually is a bad guy in the movie.

The White Knight was called that for a reason. He wasn't bad until the girl died, and even then he wasn't evil, just insane. He was a symbol of good for Gotham, even after his death.

Yeah sure, he was a great guy. Expect for that part where he had half his face burned off, lost his mind, and went around killing people at random. But more importantly, in a mafia that character is basically guaranteed to at the very least become non-town at some point. The question for us is do we want to try to lynch you today? Yesterday's lynch failed. So are you unlynchable or was it a one time effect? Do we want to try again today, hope that a vig take you out tonight, or extend the benefit of that doubt and assume that you are currently town aligned?

I am a one shot gov, ??? made me waste my ability. Investigate me at some point if you want, flavor says that I would come up scum upon investigation. At least you know who I am. If I have have a night ability, flavor will quickly show it, my character is rather distinct...

EBWOP, that really didn't come out like I meant it to.

If I am guilty, an investigation would show me as guilty as such.

I'm obviously an idiot - I guess I just got too excited after seeing the film and recognizing the characters. Yes, I was thinking that Edoc is Harvey. As far as Edoc goes, I'm personally willing to let him go. Also, apologies for still not posting my case, but I've got to finish some stuff before I can attend to that.

Okay so I went through and reviewed all the VCs. Everyone voted (well...), however with the +1 vote that we need for lynch, it seems we have a double voter or whatever. Of interesting vote, Vio only voted for the no lynch, never a player, at which time the secret vote was cast on the edoc lynch. Possible secret voter? She never even voted for sheep when she made a case against him.

It's possible. Slim but possible. I came to the same count, that everyone voted for at least something at some point. I don't know if we can base a case off it tho...
