or is your accusation that I just wanted to move the game forward w/ the 100% realistic approach that catching scum on Day 1 ONLY happens by sheer dumb luck, or sheer dumb play by the scum?
sorry mate but you need to go back to the well

That's monumentally stupid though, the main fantasia characters will not be 3rd party.
Thinking about it it's actually stupid enough to warrant a Vote Falkomango.

Did you even read my post? My accusation is that you were blindly bandwagoning whoever had the most votes at the time without caring about who is lynched. Sure, scum are not usually caught on Day 1, but a good townie will think independently about who is the scummiest, rather than blindly jump on the bandwagon of whoever has the most votes. IMO it makes you look scummy when you do that.

i think thezz may be on to something
stroop your argument has not been sufficient to change my mind about you but unless
falko can give a strong argument for his comment i will be switching my vote tomorrow evening
until then i have a maths exam i need to go study i'll be back tomorrow

I was just having a shallow reading, due the good post made by Nzen.
but no, pmc is not the best choice to go for by now.
I think that the key post so far is this/ wrote:We cannot say for sure that Simon's role was not crucial, even if he admitted to having no abilities, the role name seems to hint at an enabler or backup type role.
It seems that a majority of "town" are in fact survivors, scum couldn't know this, therefor I believe we should look into players who have mentioned third party as being unimportant, since they are most likely not third party themselves. (and most likely scum if most other players are third party)
I'm 100% with this reasoning, in fact, when i cast my naive vote for pmc, i felt kind of bad and I re-read entire thread. And, just when I see this post I realized that It's accord my notes. so far there are three deads in the game, all of them 3rd Party. That's is a fact. Thus, for obvious reasons, I agree with the hipotesis given by /, and I would like to go further. In this game is the 3rd party the real town.
So, it becomes an easy procees to try to look who could indicates to be a 3rd party itself, and who understimate that roles.
The group who looks more likely to be "nothing" or "cult" or in any case "the bad ones" here are the one who openly admit that killing 3rd party is not that bad
* Ace
* Stroop
* Thez.
I get this players in my list, and I saw later that / has found them as well.
So, by now, the most probable scum is:
vote Stroop
It's true that pmc is not 3rd party neither, and his "town Claim" is kind of suspicious, but I preffer to go after stroop in this case.
Another thing, the LSU role is kind o weird. He has Two votes and a odd investigation ability....i don't know, so weird by now

I can garuntee you there is a town, possibly with a recruiter. It's strange though with so many openly admitted survivors it's almost as if it doesn't matter that there is a town. All I can say to any survivors is that it is much better for you to hunt out the scum as they will kill and kill till they win, where as if you can prove you are a survivor we wont lynch you.

There most certainly does NOT have to be a town for mafia to work. All you need are two opposing sides to counter each other. A game full of survivors versus a "scum" group would be an intriguing setup as no one would want to be the "sacrificial piece in order to help the town win if it would cause themselves to lose. I also know that I have ran at least two games without a "conventional town" with my Civil War and American Revolution games. We need to stop trying to play the mod and play the game. Until there is actual evidence that we have more than third parties and scum in the game, we can not definitively state that there is a town nor does it really matter unless one of the "claimed townies" shows up as scum. With that said, I also wouldn't be surprised to see a third party turn up with some of those claimed townies as those people don't want to get themselves lynched.
Surely if the mafia's objective was to kill survivors then they would not have already won... Or am i missing something?pmchugh wrote:LSU Tiger Josh wrote:pmchugh wrote:Yeah there has to be a town for mafia to work, or at least two mafia groups. Else mafia would win before the game starts.

I did say "or at least two mafia groups". I mean you can't have all survivors vs. mafia as then everyone has already won. Anyway I agree about needing to play the game not the mod.

This game is going slowly and if the recent pattern imerges then evryone will just wait till the deadline is up and then stroop will be lynched. Therefore to speed the game up and give us time to change to another target I think it would be smart for you to claim stroop.
