Yeah what's the deal with that ability?

It was to keep the Prince a live at all costs so the Red Death *ie, you* would go after us at night.

Ha! Well, I guess that didn't happen.

I guess since it's over anyways I will tell you what I was planning to do. In reality, I was going to leave the black room for last (unless I had reason to change that). It wasn't something brilliant like I knew that no one would hide in there or something like that, it just felt fitting.

This was an interesting game to watch from the sideline. Congratz on such a creative setup, Talapus. Were there any roles besides palace guard and nobleman?

As for suggs, if you don't play to win, you shouldn't be playing mafia at all. Or did you really think the "I don't care if you lynch me" talk would keep you from getting lynched?

Agreeing with Sierra, this was a nice creative setup. Maybe we can have Masque v2? :D

Frankly, I am pissed off. Or "pissed" as you Yanks would say.
I was told pretty clearly early on that the Prince couldnt be lynched.
Hence my tactic about claiming the Red Death, to see if that would flush out the Red Death (that was the only reason I did the whole "I am leaving the site "thing-the person who was least convinced i thought would be the red death, because only the red death could be certain I was lying.

Plus, any time i tried to overrule the tow (apart from the first night) i was over ruled.

Now, the mod kept claiming "Ah, some one else has night actions" but frankly i got the impression that the mod didn't like the way i kept over ruling the town. I kept over ruling the town because NOT ONCE did any of the town produce a decent candidate for lynch.

AND I WAS TOLD I COULD ALWAYS OVER RULE A LYNCH-SO WHY WAS I KILLED AT THE END.

All in all, what looked like BLOODY EXCELLENT game was spoiled i think by the Mods own personal whims, or not making the rule clear, or changing them as he got annoyed by people not doing what he wanted to do.

Shame on you Talapus-you must let players play the way they want , and always think "Hmm, hes probably got a good reason for doing that, so I'll let him get on with it.

I dont really blame town (though the proposed lynch of / , WHICH I OVERULED, but / was lynched anyway-was a shocker-he always looked innocent to me) but TALAPUS-NEXT TIME SORT IT OUT, OR AT LEAST BE MORE CLEAR WHAT THE VARIOUS POWERS CAN BE.

Eg "Suggs, you are the prince, and you can overule someone on the first night, but the rest of the game-who knows?" would have been fairer.

HOW THE f*ck COULD I BE LYNCHED-A CLEAR BREACH OF THE ROLE PM YOU SENT ME MOD

And if you give me some guff about "See the rule about what i say goes Suggs" then THERE IS NO POINT GIVING OUT ROLE PMS, unless they have a big disclaimer:

"Her is your role, but i will change it whenever i want, so the game degenerates into anarchy, so don't bother haVing a carefully planned strategy Suggs"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH.

I'd like to point out something...

Talapus wrote:Ok, below are the basic rules for mafia games. However I suggest you all pay attention to number 4 and 5:

Mafia Rules:

5. The town does not have the ultimate say in who gets lynched. You may all vote for the person you want gone, but ultimately it is Prince Prospero himself who will decide who hangs from the gallows. Obviously, the Prince will probably side with the majority of the town. However, the Prince is unable to stop his own lynching. So, if a majority of you vote to lynch a player and it turns out to be the prince you all die. Be careful with your votes!

Shit apolgies. I cpmpletely forgot about the fact i could be lynched.

Which was dumb of me, because i would have been a lot more careful at the end.
Ok, that is my fault.

Still fucked off about being over ruled about who to lynch though.
I confess, after / got lynched, i lost a bit of interest, because it seemed like the pronce was a bit irrelevant really/

Talapus, could you post the role Pm's.
Its more fair enough if someone was a role blocker. But if it was you just saying "Hmm, i wanted the prince agree more with the town", then thats a disgrace.

But apologies for forgetting i could be lynched-you see my confusion though-as i had the final say on who got lynched, i assumed (wrongly) that i could always over rule my own lynch.
But fair play -i should have read that rule properly.

And I'll apolgise to Talapus if i get a decent expalnation s to why my over rule was over ruled :)

Reading the rules again, perhaps the town should have been a bit more careful who they voted.

I guess its all good mafia experience. :?

Roles:

Prince Prospero - Had the ability to choose who would die each day. Each night he could choose to "save" a player and make that player hide in the same room as the prince. It never happened, but if the Red Death had chosen the room to visit with the prince in it, then the prince would force that unlucky bastard to confront the Red Death while he ran and hid in another room. Thus, saving the prince for another night!

Royal Guards - They never got to claim. But, if someone claimed prince then they had to do the same. The main reason for this was to help insure the prince or you guys wouldn't vote the prince off. It would have been mass confusion, but suggs created that without their help.

Nobleman - Was just that. A rich, spoiled person who couldn't care less about his countrymen and and hid in the abbey with the plague spreading outside the walls, so they were just townies.

Had you survived to through the last night we were in, the Red Death would have "evolved/changed" as viruses/plagues often do and gained the ability to investigate 1 of you each night before he had to decide what room to visit. Thus, the royal gaurd role would have been helpful.

As for not reading the rules and assuming you were untouchable....well that falls squarly on your shoulders. I stated at the begining of the game to read the rules, so it's your fault, not mine. I would never make random changes in the middle of a game to affect the storyline....the ultimate outcome depends on you. Night actions coming soon!

COULD YOU JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION? Why (contrary to the rules) COULD THE PRINCE NOT KILL WHO HE WANTED?

(your over ruling of me saving /)

Couldnt see a role block there?
Could it be BOTH the Prince AND the Mod messed up, hence the game fizzling out into a shambolic anti climax.
Its strike wolf i feel sorry for-the guy didnt get a chance to win the game through his own skill :P :)

It turns out / dropped out, so Talapus killed him off.
I understand that, just wish he had told me that.
Instead, it seemed pretty clear to me that the Prince had no useful power at all.
So hence the lack of real interest from me after that point.
Shame, was one of the best set ups I've seen.
No hard feelings Talapus-just next time, i would be a bit clearer if i were you.

WHAT?!
Talapus said the only reason i couldn't save you was that you Pm'd him saying you were going away for a bit, so you didnt mind getting killed.
