Sorry for delay on answers.

To virus- you will know when the power role causing day scenes hits someone who is in a faction other than spiesr's old/current faction, assuming that faction still has members (how's that for vague?)

To kratos- Communication is open between all anti-town factions (if they exist), assuming each one has more than one member, which they may or May not.. Since I have no way to facilitate communication, if any is going on since some anti-town factions, assuming they exist and have more than one member to communicate with (that'd be kinda sad to send yourself night PM's..), they might have spoken but I wouldn't know or be able to do anything. If they exist, I would have instructed he/she/it/them to keep chatter to night, but they would have been informed if any changes were made to the participants of their faction.

I hope that helps... I don't want to confirm or deny anything.

I dont know, just assumed. might be wrong, but seemed logical.

Besides some of the arguments made by lootifier contradict knowledge I think I have.

That is exactly why I asked the question I did.

Next question: If you have information on the game why have you not come forward with it?

@ Kratos: Do you think they, whoever they are, should use the day investigation on me?

I'm not sure yet. I'm still a little undecided on your alignment. You claimed that you knew how many mafia there were on Day 1 and potentially a later day. According to the way my role pm was worded, you shouldn't have known how many mafia were alive on day 1. This seems like a small issue but if you had recruited spiesr and he had investigated a VT he could have given you that information and then claimed you were a VT. It seems like a potential stretch but this slip on what day you should know the mafia number on seems reason enough to seek further questioning. You did have a pretty accurate description of the role though so I'm not sure unless spiesr got more information than he let us know since you recruited him in this potential scenario.

One moment caller...

Ill just have to check with James to see what I can say here. But basically i "knew" there was 1 mafia on day 1 as a result of combining the following information:

Let's ask this in a more straightforward way:
If a player were to, as the result of a night action, joined a faction which had the ability to privately communicate which each other, when would that player first be able to do so? That same night, the following day, the next night?
How would the answer change is the player joining that faction was instead the result of a day action?

TRIPLE POST!

Basically i "knew" there was 1 mafia on day 1 as a result of combining the following information:

-> My role PM
-> A question I put to James to clarify my role PM
-> The subsequent answer (at this point I was 90% sure)
-> The night scene (at this stage I was 100% - note: I was actually incorrect here; there was one scenario I had not thought of that could have meant there would be more than one on day 1, but its pretty far fetched)
-> You post (at this point I was 110% sure)

By "knew" I mean I suspected to various different degrees.

Spies:

I don't send out night action effects until right before the scene. So talking that same night is out.

In the next day... Sure, why not. Nothing I can do to stop those people, assuming they exist.

The next night- You'd be screwed if you didn't and you were one of those people, if they exist.

Day action faction changes... That's so messed up... No, don't give me crazy ideas like that or they will be in my next game.

But earlier you said:
Anarkistsdream wrote:Somehow, I am doubting that there is a Vanilla Townie in this game... James wanted this game to be fun, and Vanilla Townies never get that level of "fun" that other roles get. As for painting a target on people's heads, it not only affects the person who speaks, but also the person/people that it is about.

Hrmmm...?

I didn't say I was VT... I said I was a boring townie role. Power Roles to me are killing, protective, and investigative roles... Having an ability does not classify you as a PR. Look at masons... They are not vanilla town, but they sure as hell aren't a PR as is normally considered.

My suspicion lies squarely with Anarkists. As jonty said, Lootifer's claim being too elaborate to fake is probably right, but Anarkists is still pushing hard on the Lootifer idea*. The above is what initially triggered me -- Loot had a good catch here. Yes, I understand the point that a townie with a minor role is different from a VT -- but copping out by saying you're a "boring townie" is a huge scum tell to me. It places just enough importance on you not to lynch, since that role might be useful in some circumstance, but not enough to warrant serious attention, which is what mafia would want. Also, if we trust that Lootifer's claim is correct, then Anarkist's claim makes no sense -- why would there be a 'boring townie' role when there is in fact at least one VT, and possibly more as Lootifer has hinted to?

Also, his arguments against Lootifer have generally been weak -- he quoted several of Lootifer's posts and basically said that Lootifer is scummy for defending himself against Anarkist's own accusations.

*When confronted with the claim, he said

Anarkistsdream wrote:Until I feel convinced otherwise... This is where my vote will stay... Lootifer and Spiesr backing each other up doesnt sit well with me.

But Lootifer is most certainly not backing up spiesr -- he's just saying that spiesr is perhaps not the best choice to lynch on D2. This is similarly a huge stretch.

On the other hand, greg and virus have said some things that seem a bit off to me too. Can we get a VC before I go further?

Okay, so groups that can talk to each other can do so during the Day in this game. That answers the question of if a recruit would have been able to talk to a recruiter yet.

Day 2 Vote Count 1:

spiesr (1): kratos
Lootifer (3): Nark, GregWolf, virus

With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

I believe I have said this before, but this game will be un-modded for a few days around Thanksgiving. Enjoy the holidays, no one will be prodded or anything of the sort for not posting, I know that someone here besides myself will be going on vacation with their family... If not, sorry. You are welcome to post, but if the day ends or rules are broken then there may not be as quick of a response as desired.

I'm not sure about epic. I'll have to think on that.

No prods, good job everyone.
