Town have absolutely no reason to buddy up to people; scum do however.

So, this is why you guys are voting MM?

Minister Masket wrote:Roles crucial to the game - Watcher (ace), Commuter (/), Redirector (cena) and probably Roleblocker (myself).

ace and / in particular should be left alive for a while, since they're most likely to discover alligiences.
It will down to chance for the town if these two are scum.

What he said makes perfect sense. Those roles are crucial to the town. And saying so is hardly 'buddying up' with people. Vote ace. Him and mpjh seem a little too anxious to get a lynch, imo.

How does a vote of no lynch indicate a desire to have someone lynched?

yes, / is a turtle that can only protect itself. Not that I have anything against turtles, they tend to live long lives. But I don't see MM's argument here.

Hehe, my mistake. For some reason, I was under the impression that you voted MM a while back, and were standing by that. (That's what I get for staying up too late I guess.)

However, I stand by what I said before. MM didn't do anything scummy, and lynching him would be stupid. I am suspicious of those who tried to lynch him, but I guess lynching the watcher wouldn't be the best course of action as of yet. unvote.

Now, an attempt to redeem myself through somewhat intelligent discussion:

A no lynch may be a good course of action, but we have to keep in mind that we have very little as far as investigative roles go (a watcher, and a one shot invention). On top of that, they'll be going down fast, seeing as we don't have many protection roles either (jailkeeper, which would defeat the purpose of our investigative roles anyway; a one shot invention; and a redirector). Therefore, a lynch may come in handy to give us something to go on when our investigative roles are gone.

Those roles are useful, but certainly not crucial. In my opinion, roles should play no part in deciding who gets lynched. If a person with a useful role says something scummy, I will vote him just as easily as I would vote a vanilla townie saying that.

@dunc: No-lynching day 1 is bad in almost any game. This game is no different.

I see no serious scumtells so far, so I'm still happy with my vote resting on my fellow iceclimber who hasn't posted yet.

Vote MPJH some people actually do have lives outside of here and don't stay glued on 24/7. With that said the redirecter role would probably be our most helpful role if they are indeed town. It seems to basically serve as a busdriver type role. Outside of the redirecter, watcher will be out most helpful bit. Our hider can also be helpful by testifying who he hid behind each night. That would at least clear that member of being mafia although it looks like they could still possibly be serial killer from what the description reads. I'm not opposed to lynching ace at this point either for his pushing of MM's lynch and also think that pikachu might be worth using the one shot investigation on since he won't be able to be killed at night by anyone so only chance we have to find out his alliance would be with that investigation and hope the redirecter doesn't take it from him.

Even though it's a "random" vote, it's pretty convenient for scum to off the bulletproof role day one. vote Stroop

You're assuming the hider is town. A mafia hider could just hide behind a townie that's not likely to be watched and then claim to have hidden behind his scumbuddies.

Well, that's kind of what I concluded in my little monologue. Seeing as we're so short on investigative roles, lynching will be one of our best sources of evidence.

Hmmm, I don't see that as scummy. I just don't want to lynch a townie by mistake, and we don't have much information yet about you may be the serial killer or mafia. I don't know what to do next, but I am not voiting to lynch without more information.
