Ditocoaf wrote:so it's basically just an unlynchable person, and a bulletproof person, who can't win. The calling them a "jester" has absolutely no effect on the role. Just an auto-lose lynchproof person, and an auto-lose bulletproof person.

Now in a normal game, you know what you will do to who you will target (if you can) and you know what you want to achieve. In a game where you don't know your role, there is no incentive. No drive to win. The only way you can win is by compiling all the night actions to figure out who the killer is, but once you've done that, there is no way the killer can win, so he must advocate his own lynch. Granted, he could lie, but it wouldn't add up. It may be that no one else targeted the victim and they'll lynch the killer off of previous data. Dito mentioned earlier that the concept is similar to a dethy. While it is, the key difference is knowing what you are. Knowing your alignment alone gives you incentive to win. But without knowing anything, you're really screwed.
Hope that made sense.
