In the US thanksgiving is just the day to get ready for black friday.

In the US it's on a Thursday. In Canada it's on a Monday.

@aage, I'm not entirely sure why you think people would be waiting for the D1 post, especially since quite a few people had already posted, and you had already made a joke vote.

Joke voting is little more than stalling. Strike's post about "vote whoever is waiting" was the first serious post, far as I can see. I'm more surprised that Strike posted this so early into the day, 24 hours had not even passed. His post killed the notorious "joke vote stage", thankfully, but I was kind of baffled by his impatience. I expected TFO to post a scene, which is arguably the best kind of information you can get on a D1, and I thought he would post it fairly quickly considering Rish started the day already. If that was a bad expectation, I'll gladly put less faith in TFO...

Bosaard, surely you would have to procedurally vote the player who posts last in the topic since day start then?

It's a big quote for what I will ask you, but anyway:

On a scale of 1 to 10 mafia hats, how baffled were you from strike's impatience?

Does it really surprise you Aage? I might have been early but I usually try to shake day 1 up somehow.

I must have missed it getting approved by the majority, unless you want to give me absolute power, to which I won't object... I have more problems with people who don't botter to read than late-comers, so...

Meh, Wing is right. My earlier comment was cynical; it's a bad plan, and Wing pointing out why it's a bad plan doesn't make him scummy imo. This vote is fairly scummy though. Second time you use an arbitrary reason to accuse someone backed up with false data. I don't know what you mean about the majority... wing seems to reference 'leader of the bandwagon', not 'leader of the town'.

I meant that the motion hasn't been approved by the majority and that's the whole idea when filing a motion, isn't it?

Since we're making actual cases now (well, as actual as D1 cases are), my FoS is Streaker.
Streaker wrote:Dakky, I don't think this game starts on D1, but on N0.

Feels to me like Streaker wants to make sure that N0 isn't overlooked and spans the full 48 hours. The former is fine, since that's helpful for town. The latter seems pretty scummy to me, since only the mafia really benefit from a full N0. If posting votes was a problem, the mod would've put a stop to it.

I want to apologize. I misread rishaed's post and didn't realize he asked me to write the D1 scene. It didn't help Thanksgiving + a bowling tournament happened this weekend. I'm writing it now.

Mars i think your logic is flawed on streaker.
Rish has said this one has lots of NAs and "interesting" interactions.
We have zero idea if there are town roles/town players who benefit from having the full 48 hours.
I think your push on this looks scummier then streakers original that you quoted honestly.

The night had seemed long for everyone. The large moon up in the sky seemed to stop at times as it crossed over the sky as the townspeople were out doing the things they needed to do. A few people decided they had nothing to do for that night, so they stayed home. One person snuck out of their house to, feeling a little adventurous and wanted to cause a bit of confusion, but he didn't make it far before he got hit over the head and blacked out. Whispers were heard between two people in the town, but nobody could be sure what was being said.

After everyone had done what they had to do, people slowly returned home, to rest until the morning would come. But one last person snuck back out and went up to a house, and with a flourish of the hand and a small incantation, set a spell upon one townie. The townie woke up and felt a strange pull in his conscious, realizing his ability to speak is being partially hindered.

Hmm. I think you have a point - especially with that post from TFO. I hadn't considered masons. Not sure if that's the case with Streaker or not, but it sounds like enough happened over the night for it to not really be a scum tell.

Ahhh thats obviously why mitch didn't say anything, while posting in the other threads... someone must have had a role to be able to block him from posting... makes sense. And Wing was right (this time, LOL)

So if mitch can't post, does that mean that he gets a free pass for D1? I'm not really buying it. Also, TFO says he's only partially hindered, so he should be able to post something.

@Tim, the head beating sounds to me like some sort of roleblock. Not positive if that's what happened, but right now that seems most likely to me.

"The townie woke up and felt a strange pull in his conscious, realizing his ability to speak is being partially hindered."

There is a difference between partially hindered and fully. This may be a blessing as Mitch is usually not helpful to his cause. Also we can not be certain at this point that it is Mitch.

I have a feeling this person is given a finite number of times they may post.

ok ok. we are moving. i can atleast say im not post restricted. so i guess in about a day we have 1 or 2 possible candidates, mitch is indeed a possibility.

as for reads so far.

Aage and bosaardbeitje kind of have an act going in my opinion. first they trust eachother, then they dont, vote person 1 , then person 2 etc. i know there is not much to go on early day 1, but this looks a bit like throwing and see what sticks.

There might be more into this then I first thought...

-'A few people having nothing to do at night', in a non-VT game. Day powers?
-'Causing confusion' seems a busdriver, getting hit in the head and blacking out seems like maybe a roleblock on the busdriver.
-'Whispers' more then likely masons
-The 'incantation' power is lol. Someone can give a speaking restriction to other players?

I'm listing this here for future reference, in case we need it at some point.

4. Be attentive and active in the game
. You must post at least once every 96 hours (4 days)
First time not posting, will result in a prod.
Second time will probably result in being replaced.

I seriously doubt Mitch is being prevented from posting at all. That would make this a complete bastard rule.

Virus, what do you mean with the "act"? I don't recall trusting Bos. Do you have me confused with someone else?
