Good evening Gotham, your favorite reporter Summer Gleeson here! We’re coming at you live from outside Arkham Asylum where Mayor Hamilton Hill is about to address the press. As you can tell by the Mayors actions, he seems in high spirits as he runs around and meets the press.

We are standing outside of the old east wing which was shut down back in the sixties. Apparently be fore going inside the Mayor would like to say a few words.

“Citizens of Gotham! Thank you all for tuning in this evening and joining us. I just wish it were under better circumstances. For the past several days now, Arkham Asylum has become the scene of numerous murders and mysterious deaths. Even with the help of the cities police force and Batman and Robin, the violence has yet to be contained. However, as of tonight, that will all change!

Inside right now, I have had the police, staff, and security personnel round up all the inmates and seat them in the cafeteria. For the first time since any of the inmates have arrived, they have all been stripped of any identifying features. Be it a costume, makeup, or personal item, the inmates have been forced to leave all of these behind in their cell. Most of the criminals here at Arkham no doubt have used their criminal personas to hide behind for some time now. Well, that is no longer an option. The inmates and all of Gotham will now confront that which we have feared the most. We will confront each other as people and get to the bottom of this whole terrible ordeal.

The guards have been ordered to lock the doors once we are all inside. Employess, inmates, and the rest will all be in the cafeteria until this issue can be resolved. We must be strong Gotham if we wish to bring sanity back into our lives. Tonight we will have our answers!”

I’m not quite sure the press around me or myself fully believe what we just heard. It appears as though the Mayor wishes to resolve Arkhams issues by confronting all the inmates. I’m not sure if this will work or not, but it looks as though some members of the press are having second thoughts and backing out. But do not worry Gotham, I promise to stick with this all night and report everything there is to see and hear. I can’t blame some for wanting to back down, but I for one must know the truth!

So, as the doors are locked behind us I finally see what it’s like to be locked inside the asylum with no real control over what’s about to happen. All around us the inmates are seated and waiting as an officer approaches the podium.

“We all know why were here today. Amongst us is someone who kills at random and in large numbers. We are here to flush them out and make it known that that these actions will not stand!

While investigating the death of Harvey Dent A.K.A.Two-Face, we discovered that one of the inmates responsible was not working alone. Although we can’t prove yet who killed Harvey, there is someone who may be able to point us in that direction.

Harley Quinn, please stand and tell us where you were last night!”

“I’m not saying nothing copper!”

“Guards, bring her forward!”

It would seem the police are in no mood tonight. They have swarmed in on Harley and took her up front where they now seem to be strapping her into some kind of chair.

“Ms. Quinn, will you tell us who was responsible for Mr. Dent’s murder?”

This question was answered only by wild laughter. “I ain’t talking!”

“Dr., if you would…”

I can’t quite see what is happening from right here but it appears as though one of the doctors is injecting Ms. Quinn with something. Oh my God….her body, it’s gone limp. I don’t understand what just happened Gotham, but Ms. Quinn no longer seems to be moving.

“As you can see, we mean business. Ms. Quinn will not be the only one to meet this fate tonight. It is time to start talking!”

Harley Quinn – Anti-Gotham/Jester has died from lethal injection.

A wild uproar has gone up from all the inmates here at Arkham, police are trying to regain order

*In the far corner of the cafeteria*

“What are you doing here Selina?”

“Oh Batman, I’m just curious. Where’s the harm in that?”

“You have no business being here Selina. Go home or I’ll have you arrested!”

“Let go of me!”

“Let’s go. I’m sure I can find a cell for you for the night. I don’ need you here causing trouble.”

“You forget Bruce, I know who you really are. Let me go or I’ll scream BAT!”

After a moments thought, Batman released Selina and she slipped back into the crowd of press and inmates.

*Back to Summer*

The inmates are enraged and are showing no signs of calming down. The death of Miss Quinn has visibly upset everyone. And why are the guards letting that strange man over there walk around the room undisturbed?

It looks as though he’s slipping something behind the ears of all the guards and they don’t seem to be doing a thing. We’re going to go check this out.

“YOU BROUGHT THIS UPON YOURSELFS, ALL OF YOU DID!” a lone inmate in the middle of the crowd was standing on a chair and shouting this at everyone. “NOW YOU WILL ALL SUFFER IN THE WORLD IN WHICH YOU HAVE DESTROYED!”

Oh my god, she seems to be holding something. Yes, yes, she is holding a vile of some sort.

“YOU’LL NEVER TAKE US ALL ALIVE!” And with that, the crazed inmate threw the vile at the officer behind the podium.

Oh my, the vile has struck the podium and has exploded. There is now a massive cloud forming where the vile exploded and engulfing everyone in its path. Screams and shouts can now be heard from all around as inmates and staff alike rush for the sealed doors.

“The keys, we need the keys!” shouted a panicked guard.

“It’s too late, the clouds to close!” and with that the massive cloud engulfed the group trying to flee through the exit.

Suddenly, two massive explosions were heard throughout the cafeteria. A huge hole was blown through the south wall, and the doors were blown away from the north exit.

*Bang, bang* gunshots rang out from somewhere nearby.

More screams and shouts could be heard from all around.

“GUARDS! GUARDS! Secure all the inmates in their cells and shoot any who resist!”

From somewhere up top Batman dove into the fray with Robin close behind to help the guards secure the inmates. But it was too late. Panic and chaos now reigned throughout Arkham.

Some guards just started grabbing people and throwing them in cells while others just opened fire. But regardless, no order would ever be restored back here at Arkham.

As the smoke began to clear, the effects of the brief insanity slowly began to dawn on the few survivors standing throughout the carnage around them. Bodies of all sorts littered the ground around them.

These are just a few of the people who will never see Gotham again. Also seen amongst them are the bodies of a few employees, numerous police, and quite a few press. And oddly enough, there appears to be a bullet proof vest lying in the middle of the floor. It only has one identifying mark of what appear to be “bat wings”. But it matters little because it’s strewn on the floor amongst discarded weapons and other things. It seems as though Mayor Hill’s idea has backfired.

Arkham is now under mob rule with no one controlling it. It appears the gas that Ivy released wiped out the memories of many of those who inhaled it. Many players in the game wake to find themselves in cells unsure of who they are. They just have the articles of clothing and artifacts left by former inmates to remind them of their new lives. With no memory of the past, the dazed inmates now try to piece their lives back together from the things they find in their cells. As night descends, it appears as though it will be a long one.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE GAME, NO ONE CONTROLS ARKHAM AND NO ONE CAN KEEP THE SILENCE. ALL INMATES CAN TALK THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT AND SAY WHAT THEY WISH, BUT NO VOTES CAN BE MADE UNTIL DAY 5 STARTS. FOR CERTAIN PEOPLE ROLES HAVE CHANGED AND ALLIANCES SWITCHED. SOME PROS HAVE CHANGED TO ANTIS AND ANTIS INTO PROS. PM’S ARE BEING SENT TO ALL PLAYERS TO CONFRIM WHAT EXACTLY YOUR NEW ROLE MAY BE, AND YOU ALL NEED TURN IN YOUR NIGHT ACTION BEFORE DAY 5 BEGINS. YOU HAVE 72 HOURS!
