Yeah, I didn't play the Wine In Front Of Me game... I just made up a story, and didn't even think about if something was too obvious or too counter intuitive.

I liked it - the way there were various ways to connect the dots. I thought the observations thing went over very well in that respect.

It really felt like I was a detective before mr. incrediball died (after that, I was just having fun killing people...)

Oh yeah, another question - what was LSU's role? What was going on with that PM I got?

The observation system was very good. I might copy it in one of my games. :D
The game ran very smoothly witha few twists(good kind).
All in all it was a really good game.

InkL0sed wrote:Dito - thoughts on the game in general? I'm dying of curiosity here!

By the last couple of days, it was overwhelminly suspenseful for me, as I said. I had no clue what was going on. You guys killed off your two best protective roles on days 1 and 2, which made me think town was hopeless. But I also knew that there were two roles that could become killing roles (the newlyweds, and the priest), which would give scum a run for their money.

I know Flores is upset that I postponed Borox's lynch. I thought that you guys would just talk for a few more hours (it was my graduation day, so I didn't have any time) and then still lynch him. But somehow he got out of it, which meant he could kill Flores that night... which started the conspiracy's downfall.

My favorite role would have to be the Newlyweds role... I like the idea of having something like an anti-lyncher, or anti-survivor, where your goal is for the other person to survive. And then, unlike the Lovers role, if your partner dies, you become a serial killer! I had fun with that one.

Militant's role didn't turn out like I thought it would... I thought that since he had to vote for whoever Flores was, that it would look like he was scum. But I forgot that it would be stupid to force somebody to not tell about their PR, and so as it turned out his voting wasn't suspicious. But you found him suspicious anyway for relying on the Coffee girl, so I suppose it worked out in the end.

I was really disappointed you lynched LSU so quickly. He was a big part of the game. If someone tried to do something to the person he was protecting, I had this whole "Crazy-Ass Night Time Fun Game (With Blood!)" planned, using the Madness CC map as a game board. But, I forgot you would find a Cop suspicious... or mabe you should have thought I'd assume you'd find a cop suspicious? It's the whole "wine in front of me" game, that I didn't plan for.

I had a lot of fun writing the night scenes. I'll post the action list soon, and I'll post any of the night scenes that you want. It'll reveal a lot more about the game than I could just tell you.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed this game... I suppose I'll start planning another one. I originally had been planning on a Dystopia mafia game, but I might make a different game, that would be more like this one's "spiritual successor".

You know, I've never been killed off very quickly in a game. I guess I'm just a natural born survivor - I have no idea how I do it.

We were gonna kill you night three, but when Fifth came along and we assumed his role was dangerous(turned out to be a depressed man).

Okay, here's the action list.

Every time there's a star (*), that means I sent a night scene PM to that person.

Do you want to see the list of day observations? That seems a little less interesting; I just kept that so I could keep track.

Here's some more random comments...

DRoZ particularly impressed me a couple times, when he posted who he thought was scum and not. At one point a couple 'days' ago, he was right on.

William's fake claim was beautiful. It sounded just like the sort of thing I'd write into the story. Good job; the story aspect is what made this game so fun for me.

It was weird how often the scum, especially Sam and Will, observed Ink and mr. i... I'm curious what you were thinking?

What about this post? I thought it was pretty epic.

InkL0sed wrote:OK, so I just observed Flores, and this has pretty much confirmed at least the basis of my theory.

But let me start from the beginning:

During the day when we couldn't share our observations (I think this was yesterday), I observed Flores, and saw that she was reading a book about "How to expand a business." I asked her that day if she was looking to expand, and she hinted at a no. This made me quite suspicious of her naturally, but then again I figured observations were quite unreliable, so I wasn't quite sure of anything.

Today, we find that Flores is dead, and was scum, confirming my suspicions. I just found a plan in her house today that outlined how she was going to expand into a Super-Megacoffee-Megaconglomerate, a store that would take up two whole blocks, and would occupy all of our houses.

So what I was suspecting and what this confirms is this: the scum are killing us off so that they can somehow take our property and install this Mega-coffeshop thing and earn a killing (pun intended). I suspect that they have also been using the coffeeshop as a meeting place.

Now, onto the second part of this "theory"; we don't have many left alive, and we've only killed one scum. Thus it's logical to assume that there are several scum left alive, probably a little less than half of us. This is the list of the rest of us who are alive, along with the descriptions of our characters:

Alive:

1. Skoffin -- "had recently moved to this country from a foreign land, but spoke the language tolerably well"
2. militant -- "...local musician, who played at bars and coffee shops downtown"
3. sam_levi_11 -- "...just a teenager; his parents were on a month-long trip, and he was home alone for the duration"
4. borox0 -- "...had become a semi-famous holy man, who walked daily to the city to help the needy"
5. cmckinney -- "...a tall man who rarely attended the meetings, and had an overgrown, unkempt lawn"
7. DRoZ -- "...an elderly lady who had lived in the neighborhood for twenty years"
9. mr. incrediball (along with InkL0sed) -- "a newlywed couple who, previously strangers, had fallen in love in a whirlwind romance on a cruise"
10. William18 --- "...a businessman who commuted to the city daily"
12. Inkl0sed -- see mr. incrediball

So first I'd like to point out, although Ditocoaf has said repeatedly that these descriptions don't have anything to do with our roles, I do think he is giving us subtle clues here as to who is scum and who is not. Who would be interested in destroying our homes for greed? Certainly not DRoZ, an elderly woman who has lived in the neighborhood, and who I've been getting town vibes from. Certainly not borox08, a holy man who helps the poor, and a practically confirmed townie at this point. Who would be interested in such a business venture, other than the obvious answer of Flores? I think the two that stick out like sore thumbs are William18, a businessman who spends most of his time in the city, and cmckinney, a man who has been strangely neglectful of his house as well as his community...

I'd also like to mention that it seems to be mostly william18, cmckinney, militant, and sam_levi who have been doing much of the bandwagoning (though I haven't checked up on this quite yet, so don't take my word for it), and persistence in their attacks, especially on Skoffin and me (which is why I don't believe Skoffin is scum). These four are, in my opinion, the most suspicious of all.

So, I'm going to vote William, Major FOS on cmckinney, and minor FOS on militant and sam.

I'm going to go check up on the vote counts tomorrow, though it would be nice for someone else to do it...
