geez, I only wanted a claim, the reason I had wanted a claim is I thought that "vanilla townie" seemed a bit out of place in a game like this, obviously I was wrong... i was just thinking that the godfather is usually supposed to show up as a townie role of some sort, right?
I wanted to be sure Militant would claim "nameless townie" and not doc or vig or something.

Selin, I'm only curious as to how you got such a accurate "hunch" with a name occupation and everything, if as you say you are not a cop. (unless maybe your mason/cult/mafia/brothers/etc with a cop, then you don't really have to explain.)

I don't think we should forget about the possibility that Kalish was not the cult recruiter, but only a vanilla cult member. On death, the cult recruiter is usually named as such in our forums, and I believe nagerous would name him something like 'Barzini Cult Leader' if he was indeed the recruiter. So please don't assume the cult is dead already. It might still be more important to catch the cult leader than it is to catch a mafia member, as many of the mafia died already.

I'm still withholding from voting until I hear from Riggable, and after the last few posts I'd like to hear from Clive too.

if you're not a cop or other investigative role you're barzini

Oh yes... that's why I insisted to vote AD where most of you (including yourself :!: )were voting either rebelman or militant.

And yes... that's why I caused another Barzini, kalish to defend AD and got spotted.

And yes... it was a perfect plan of all of us Barzini's where there was not a single clue about our identity. So we just thought that it's a superb idea to reveal our identities and got two of us killed/lynched.

But we couldn't calculate how wise you are, so you revealed me now. =D>

.

but how could you guess he was a vig? maybe you're not barzini but if you're not a cop you could not have got that result

don't bullshit you could've got his alignment but to get his role you needed an investigative role.

Your remark about cult leader makes sense to me.

Ok, I think the Clive arguement makes perfect sense. I've gotten on him before for not contributing much of anything in other games and looking back on it here makes it look like he was defending someone. Also, it's more then what he usually says. So, I'll give it another day so he has time to get in here and explain himself.

You don't need to be a cop to come to conclusions with a high probability, if you really invest time in analysing the thread over and over in detail. I had a short list of 3 potential day vigs. As AD made himself obvious (for me) that he is Barzini, there was a very high probability that he was the day vig of Barzini's.

That left me with two candidates being the second day vig. I'm pretty sure that one of them is the second one. However, the fact that / has not been attacked during day 3 makes me hope that the 2nd Day Vig maybe a Townie. That's why I don't name them. If there is any counter opinion about the second vig being non-townie, let us discuss it.

I think there is enough pressure on Clive to come here, so I'll hold on to my vote for now. Also agreed that riggable needs to make an appearance.

Re: GODFATHER MAFIA - August 1965 (DAY THREE) Militant down!

Postby Selin on Thu Apr 10, 2008 4:16 pm

I asked myself the question: Why did mafia choose rebelman to kill yesterday night? This didn't make sense to me at the beginning. Let me explain why.

Until most of you changed your votes to AD, rebelman was the one who was mostly suspected by many of you. He was leading at the vote count. After the lynch of AD, from the point of mafia there was no reason to spend their night kill on rebelman, as he would have been one of the primary suspects of the town also on day 3. So why did mafia choose to kill him?

I assume that kalish was targeted by carleone's, because he defended heavily AD and revealed himself to be a barzini. So the logical consequence would be that carleone's killed him last night.
That leaves barzini's being responsible for the death of rebelman. But why rebelman? The logical consequence would be that barzini's knew rebelman was the doctor. So there is a good probability that barzini's have a cop and investigated rebelman on night 1 because of his scummy looking posts, maybe believing that rebelman could be a carleone.

Any ideas on why mafia killed rebelman?

24 hours are over.

Reading what you have missed and posting an answer shouldn't have taken 1 hour (since your post above), unless you are still working on it, e.g. preparing a fake claim.

oh, hey I just noticed something, these last two townies who died had green names, all the other townies had blue ones, also the ones with the green names are the only two who didn't have scum names, so that probably means the ones with blue names are recruitable for scum, right?
