The fact remains, no-one is acting very suspicious. Just a lot of annoying spamming.

Anyway, with 17 players i think we'll have 4-5 mafias and proberbly somthing simular to a serial killer. we might have two mafias of 3 though with mabye a cult thrown in

Hrm. Well since it's a catastrophe mafia I have the feeling that there will be some...umm..."unique" roles. I'm sure there will be some mass killings at night but your right Balsiefen there really are no leads now.

I don't know for sure how LSU would set this up, but usually a catastrophe voting system is a substantial advantage to the town.

What I did in my Inquisition game (which had a similar voting system) to balance things was to give an equally game-breaking ability to scum; although, I doubt there's anything as powerful as a Mafia Cult Leader here.

One other way to balance things is to make the game bloody - ie., multiple killing roles, and factions with multiple kills per day (such as a mafia with a day killer and a night killer).

So, yes, I suspect that there are at least 4 mafia, and probably an SK to go along with it.

This is as good a reason as any I've found so far; and, as always, the benefits of lynching someone on day one outweigh the costs of killing a townie if I'm wrong. Thus,

I will Vote Chad for now but i do not wish to see him lynched untill it is absolutely necisarry.

I also think i will keep my eye on ga7 as on my mafia his main way of covering himself was to shift the votes to deadbeats and spammers.

Metagaming much? That won't be very useful with me :P
It's day 1 we're 17 players and Chad just was bloody annoying, I just don't think we'll have a better target so I prefer to have a useful lynch regardless of the outcome

Sure it makes a sense. We lynch a noob and even if he is town hey, he is just a noob, anyway. unvote

However, since I prefer lynching a scum to lynching a noob, vote ga7 for justifying his vote by something other then scuminess of the target.

You read this wrong, I don't want to lynch Chad because he's a noob, I want to lynch Chad because he (and Fircoal) made day 1 a real pain. Of course I don't vote him because of his scuminess, because I didn't see anyone particularly scummy.

Wow don't all bandwagon on chad at once now.....

There's a dynamic deadline. That means we can spend as much time talking things thru as we need. If it comes down to near-deadline we can lynch chad and extend the deadline for further scum-searches. But there is really no need to be so hasty. Right now to me chad is a backup plan. So let's just start talking(not spamming mind you) and fish for some leads some more.

I love how half the votes on myself are from me, also you can't lynch Chad.. that would make LSU's job easier!
Yeah I will also hold my vote for time being, it's hard to find any good leads on day one but it's always possible, so why rush it.

Fos: Chad Bandwagon

Sure there are n00b bandwagons, but this is a different and way scummier bandwagon. He and I were Vote Hopping for the Fun of it. My reasons was for a false scummness and to make LSU mad.

I don't think just because he's spamming you should all be bandwagon. IT's even worse when there is nothing to go, because then there is nothing bad about spam. IS it stopping anything? NO!

Also it's none every DAy 1. DOn't act like you didn't know it would happen. YOU ALL KNEW! Unless your a n00b. So don't pretend.

Well, whether we lynch Chad or lynch someone else, we need to make absolutely certain that don't let the deadline pass without a lynch.

This is catastrophe mafia; one of the ways that the town can take advantage of the rules is to try to limit the number of times the game goes to night by making multiple lynches per day. I strongly recommend that we lynch at least three people, preferably four or five, before day one ends.

Sure, we aren't going to know who is who until night begins, but that doesn't matter - by lynching that many, odds are that we will catch at least one scum in the process, and this will leave us immensely better off come day two.

Remember - lynching is how the town wins; we should use it as often as possible.

Meh. He was stupid anyway.

And aimless I think any more than three lynches may be over doing it. Unless we get definite leads, I think it might be too risky to lynch that many d1. We don't know what roles there are and I think that we should at least go to bight once to find out how many killing roles there are (catastrophe mafia...I'm guessing there will be a few). So I think 3 will be more than enough.

At the moment the bandwagoners are looking scummiest to me.

Yeah, I'm not sure the multiple lynches day one would be too good of a idea. No leads, more likely to get town. And wouldn't we have docs and cops too? Not only would we increase the chances of getting them we'd reduce the opportunity of them using their powers or somesuch (I've never played this type of mafia before so excuse me if I have this wrong) so for day one I think we should stick to one or two lynchings(unless something comes up) and get to the multiple lynchings day two when we have more to go on. Or something. Image

Well, the rationale for lynching more than 3 would be to try to guarantee that we got a scum; on the other hand, I do somewhat agree that it's important to know how many night killers we have floating around. It's also important that we don't accidentally get ourselves into a LYLO situation for day 2 by misjudging the strength of the scum.

Thus, I will be satisfied with three; on the other hand, I do not think we should lynch few than that.
