I like playing but I don't really like modding, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread going where we can put down ideas for other people to do. If there is already some related thread then apologies.
Anyway, my suggestions: 1. 1984 Mafia 2. Lead Character Mafia (Take lead characters from other mafia games and put them into some uber power role game, e.g. Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The Joker all in one big power role orgy. Have fun balancing it!)

Once I have a couple of games under my belt I would like to mod a series based on The Wire. Each game would be based on seasons 1-5 of the show. and the game size and complexity would increase as more characters were added to the show each season.
It could really cover a large range of roles and factions though admittedly I would need help modding the latter seasons (maybe even look for somebody with more skill to take over at that point).
Nah chuck discuss away, this can be for ideas in general doesn't have to be ran by others. Your idea made me think of Breaking Bad as a theme, I would love that.
Death note was done I'm sure, I think / ran it but I could be wrong.

I thought it would be cool to have some sort of system where Batiatus (aka the mafia boss) could choose to gladiators (townsfolk) to "fight betwixt themselves" instead of just killing off one.

Soup Nazi? Keith Hernandez? Really guys? You can't think of anyone?
Keith Hernandez would fit more like a miller (he never spit on George/Kramer). You could add the 2 recurring puerto ricans as mafia. Maybe also add the "bizarro" Jerry/George/Kramer. Or consider the perspective from the last chapter and have Seinfeld/George/Kramer/Elaine as the mafia.
Other than Seinfeld, I second 1984 and Death Note (don't care if it has already been done, it could be done again).
I was just thinking we should have a thread like this the other day. Second Indiana Jones and James Bond, Third Death Note, yeah I modded one way back when I first started, but it wasn't great.
