Why don't some people bother to leave feedback?

I suppose, in the grand scheme of things, feedback is not near as important as rank/points. Still, as someone who always leaves feedback for everyone involved in the game (usually as soon as it ends), it's kind of annoying to have only about 1 in 3 people return the favor.

True, I suppose, but if you just leave feedback for everyone, then you don't have to wait until someone leaves it for you first.

Afitz ( the feedback king ) has left me 3 positive feedbacks over a couple month period of time. I elect not to leave him any, as I feel he does not deserve it, so he has deleted all 3 he left me. Another example on why the feedback system does not work.

You shouldn't be posting fb just to get some back. Leaving every player pos fb is stupid cos not everyone will have played well. You should only leave fb to those who deserve it

I'm not posting just to get some back; I'm posting because I believe that, as long as someone didn't play poorly, they should get positive feedback. It makes no sense that someone will have played 300 games and have only 40 or 50 feedbacks.

Think scorba left only like 5 but he got 45+

shows that great players get what they deserve for meves that are really pro. I only give feedback to either new people who i feel for there 1st game stuck at the game well and i think they will go far or if i get pwned by great play

Hey Nut, I think your views on feedback are somewhat skewed. Not many people who have played a fair number of games (i.e. more than 2 like you) have feedback from each game, even our most popular players. You shouldn't expect feedback from everyone you give it to, and you shouldn't get upset when you don't receive feedback. Did your mother never teach you, tis better to give than receive? There's a reason we have "obvious fishing" as a reason for deletion.

Hey, I'll let you know when your opinion matters. Hold your breath.

I don't usually leave feedback because I don't care about it. The good players know they are good- they don't need me to tell them. I think negative feedback is a positive tool but in general it seems like a waste of time for me to leave positives. I understand not everyone feels the same way, and I think its good that some people use the system a lot more than I do.
However leaving feedback for every player in the game is fairly ridiculous. And Houston- you said youself that you don't like it when people don't give you feedback in return. How is that not fishing for positives?
EDIT- nevermind most of that. When you said you always leave feedback for everyone following the game I was assuming you had played a decent amount. 2 completed games was not really what I expected. Anyway, leave feedback for whomever you wish but you must realize it won't mean very much if you leave it for every player.

I guess this makes sense. I was thinking of it more like eBay feedback, wherein every game (transaction) results in a net positive, neutral, or negative. I see now that this is not how it works around here.

why would you bother leaving fedback for everyone in your game? Its supposed to be for someone who you really thought deserved it, good or bad. at least that's how I use it and don't give it that often

I think we have made too many reasons to not give feedback personally. I now can't be bothered to give feedback at all - after being fairly prolific. If I see an incredible game I may - but tbh why?
So what is people give positive if they've given positive. Who gives a *** if someone does a retalitatory negative. The great thing about CC is it then allowed the viewer to have a look in on the game and judge for themselves. It is after all just a comment on how a person found the game.
Just my 2 cents but I really think th efeedback system is worse than it was 3 months ago when I joined.
