I am currently the leader of a clan. If I need to modify a topic ( lock, change to an announcement etc.) how can I do so? ( I have checked all the FAQs)

You can't. Send me a PM and I'll lock it for you.

Oh  That's odd... It says in the FAQ: Moderators are individuals (or groups of individuals) whose job it is to look after the running of the forums from day to day. They have the power to edit or delete posts and lock, unlock, move, delete and split topics in the forum they moderate. Generally moderators are there to prevent people going off-topic or posting abusive or offensive material. Aren't I counted as a Moderator if I lead the clan?

No; you are a clannenite, clannser, Big Dog, Head Cheese, Numero Uno, etc, but not a moderator - those are "officials" of the site elected / empowered by The Lack and their titles read under their names.....

(I have heard that he will impart moderate moderator mojo for unspecified amounts of La Poutine....)

Well you can go in and edit the original title to read

CLOSED TO POSTING

or some such thing...that would be a step in the right direction, eh?? OR you could look into a supply of Poutine, as previously suggested.....

I whole heartedly disagree. I've voiced my opinions on this before. Go edit your own posts, if you like, but once someone other than yourself posts in the thread...it becomes public property, and will remain up and open, as long as it follows the rules and guidelines.
