Brand new players missing a turn.

Ok I know things come up, but I hesitate to join a game with a brand new player, because, chances are they are not going to play. So, Three days later the game can begin. I am just ranting a bit, but wouldn't it be reasonable to expect someone playing there first game to want to take their first turn. Could they be eliminated if they miss their first turn ever?
What do you - all think?

So it would be their first ever go, and they miss it... totally agree they should then be chucked off the system... or however it works.

I think if anyone missed there firt turn they need to be booted. the person that makes there own game should have this option

agree too.
I'm a beginner aswell but I check my "4 games" 3 times a day, or more.
But it could sometimes be the time difference.
I'm from Netherlands, most of you are North America.
Its somewhere between a 10 hour difference.

24 hour game turns mean it can't be the time difference.

I know.
But still. when for example US players make turn in the middle of the day, in europe its almost midnight.
this can take a while then

Agreed the timezones factor in how quickly turns may progress - I made a suggestion a while back re making the nationalities even clearer but I don't think it got anywhere.

I think that the creator of any game should have the choice to decide how many turns can be missed before being kicked out. I also think that for rt games a shorter time limit could be put on for making your move.

maybe having a monthly roll call can help get deadbeats out of the system. but it would be a long shot
