To celebrate CC first year on the internet, why dont we have a special award ceremony.

awards will given to people for doing special stuff(eg. doing a good job on the Mod Squad)

Im not sure of the current awards but the major award winners could get a premium membership something.

So, what do you think people?

Right, as some one surgested to put all the current ideas at the front, im gonna do that, if fact here thay are(at the moment):

Longest game
Shortest game
Winning battle royale (I think that's what it's called, it was the match with nearly 50 people)
Most helpful
Best positive/negative feedback ratio (At least 50 feedback recieved)
Biggest noob
Most games played
Most suggestions that have been implemented
Most positive feedback
Most maps designed (If anyone actually has designed more than one map)
Most active in forums
Most successful tornaments created
Most unique username
Funniest sig
Coolest avatar

maybe not a premi, since you get awarded by doin good stuff with a premi, once every two weeks. but, i do like the idea

Maybe you should figure out what awards should be given out then. Saying 'give out awards'....is vague and doesn't give anyone any help.

well i don't know, uh maybe, a two year premi, to automatically be added on to the one you have, or something then

I don't mean the 'reward' of the award...I mean the actual awards.

Things like: Best Rivalry, Most Multi's Caught, etc.

Already suggested: CC's very own Award Galla 2006 in december???

I like the idea but I wont have time to work on it. Anyone want to research how to put on a live internet event??

looking at the poll, the opinion is very split. so if you want this award ceremony to go ahead, can you please post some award ideas. (e.g. The most honourable player. or something) and if does go ahead, we will have a few ideas.

and just read the galla thing. was it rejected or is it still in the progress of design?

I think the original Gala idea lost steam. Why don't you get in touch with Augusta -> you two could be co-hosts

I like the idea and have some ideas for categories as well as for prizes..pm me once you get the ball rolling if you wish

well, while you are all think ing of award ideas, i have had an idea.

If someone wins an award and the prize is a year on premium, they either choose to keep it for themselves or give a year premium to someone of their choice.

The prize may not be a premium membership.

Good or bad idea?

Really, has she left. ok, as i will not be able to do this on my own, i am looking for a co-host or 2 (maybe 3 if needed ) so we can do this in January.

"Most Posts award". this could be changed into most contribution to the forum. Or we could keep like kyle said.

they are good ideas, but most wins will be hard. we will have to look at all the players on here and count the number of wins. it will take ages.

well im thinking of ppl nominating players and a panel of judges decide who should win.

Generals will not be given an award but congratulated on there status.

My thots on General....

Coming from recent experience (ugh), I know of a few folks who only set up doubles games in public formums expecting primarily newbies to join in - this is their forte and way of slowly and reliably gathering points from the unwashed masses. These I speak of do not play singles games and do not apprear to have fun, the way I understand it.

I see no reason to reward this behavior. Their rank is their reward as that is their primary motivation. Period.

Examples for good people that could win based on their actions here at CC:

Wacicha
Many of the Moderators

The obvious winner for most "unique" person:

Dugcarr1
