Longest escalating game ever?

Just finished an escalating game that went to round 20.
http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=83491

Has anybody experienced an escalating game longer than 20 rounds?
(and I'm referring to REAL games... not those "pile-em up" games where nobody attacks)

Number of rounds played: 20
Number of sets cashed: 26
Number of troops added during play: 1,912
Beating Pedronicus, cyberdaniel, uclap, steve monkey and Mysteron in a 20 round game: PRICELESS

Last sets cashed were 110 + 115 armies by steve monkey in Round 18.
At no time in the game could anybody get a "chain reaction" from eliminating players.
4 sets were cashed in Round 15 (total of 358 troops that turn, yet only 1 player eliminated)

This was an Elite Tournament Game with 6 players, and all played very well:
* Robinette 8)
* Pedronicus (killed by Robinette, round 16 )
* cyberdaniel (killed by Robinette, round 8 )
* uclap (killed by Robinette, round 15 )
* steve monkey (killed by Robinette, round 20 )
* Mysteron (killed by steve monkey, round 18 )

Despite being the one who eliminated most of the players, this game had NO dominate player... it really looked like anybody might win this.

It would of gone on even longer - If the those pesky red Mexican armies had of been killed earlier. :?

Well the number of rounds is going to depend on the number of countries and acessibility of the map. A likely reason ur game went on for so long is that N.A. map is the largest. Wait til the Modern World comes in, 20 rounds wont b much at all.

Let it go, Pedro
You need to move on with you life!
Besides... those were my little friends.
hee hee hee

but i do agree with you... if my little latin buddies had been taken out that game really would have lasted much longer.

My longest escalating was 15 rounds and that was with 2 deadbeats...

It doesn't matter who attacked first or what had to be destroyed anymore. The most important thing is that was one of the best games ever played. Actually look at every elite game and most of them are really thight.

A pleasure playing with you guys and hope we'll do this again.

second longest game (longest is flat rate):

http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=42322
round 210
most recent card turn in: 935 armies

That's interesting... Did the deadbeating shorten the game, or would it have lasted even longer if they had kept playing?

Sorry I beat you with 24 Rounds. I could have won had they not teamed on me in the middle. Heres the Link http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=76029

Interesting... highest set was only 85... no doubt due to being a 4 player game.
Maybe sully could analize this........ help the rest of us to understand which game was more extreme.

Lol, nice.

Well you did say yours was the longest you had seen (that was actually played out) but Senfive's was indeed longer.

4 players often end earlier because you have less people to eliminate- but sometimes in 6 player one person gets a big streak going and that ends earlier because the sets escalate faster (as shown by your higher cash in value).

Let's say its a poisson distribution for each game.

Robinettes- Lamda=20, x=6
Senfive- Lamda=24, x=4

Then FsubR(6;20) = 1.832*10^-4
And FsubS(4;24) = 5.219*10^-7

Based on that math, Robinette's game is 351 times more likely to occur than Senfive's game.

Unfortunately this math has nothing to do with the topic at hand, and the poisson distribution theory was a crock, but if you believed me up until this point then I guess my plan worked :D

They do attack though.... but its a totally manufactured environment. Most of that would end if they would stop leaving exposed countries with only 1 army on them.

LOL! Sorry guys if I am throwing off your data. This game was meant to test the auto-attack feature, and the randomness of the dice. Both passed the test with very large army attacks. Once we all get back to the same troop levels, it would be interesting to see what happened when we actually started trying to win. :)

Yeah, they attack single man countries to get more cards and pile on even more armies. It's not a real game (at least not at this point).

In my opinion, if they played then they would have earned cards and the cash rate would have risen quicker and potentially ended the game sooner.

and easier way would be to find the eigen values of it.
Put it into matrix form.
After putting it into matrix form, find the basis for the subspace that could be created for these vectors in the columns.
Now, these vectors have nothing to do with anything, but it looks funny.

The round 210 one doesn't count...they're just screwing around...

I'm waiting for one of them to auto attack...that would be CRAZY
