Are alliances in 3 player games dishonorable? I believe that total alliances in 3 player games are dumb. These games are every man/woman for himself. What do you all think???

it's risk!! there are no rules in real war, so there are very few in a board game simulating one!

no it's not dishonorable. hey, if you want to win, you win, if that means stepping over some people's head, do it.

lol i set my cousins up in real life by pointing out things they have done to eachother and they attack eachother like crazy, does that count as an alliance that gives me the game? since they never attack me but i get the bonuses and suddenly sweep them lol its fun *sigh* the good ol days

I personally enjoy fighting two people at once...

Especially after one of the parties attacks the other :) Then I sit back and watch the civil war.

i won a game because these two guys just sat there and attacked each other, and another one when there were three left, one guy JUST attacked the other and i won

dishonarable at times...

a temp alliance is sometimes necessary...but if your with good players they will attack strongest player...otherwise why bother....however...joining with a friend and having an immidiate alliance would be a great way to gain points...anounce it...then kill the other player...then duke it out....not technically cheating...not a secret alliance right.....dishonarable......beyond all doubt....

I think the jury is 50/50 from the last poll I did a few weeks ago. I'm now pretty much on the side that stays out of alliances in a 3 player game.

If it is the two weak guys teaming up on the guy thats about to win, then i am fine with it.

if it is two guys teaming up on the third guy for some other reason, the third guy shouldnt have gotten into that situation and messed it up for himself.

In war, different groups join together and split up all the time. its not dishonorable in real war, so why should it be dishonorable here?

In the end there can only be one winner. the two in the alliances will have to kill each other eventually, so if they want to risk screwing themselves over, it's fine by me.

Whatever..... I prefer not to join sides in a 3 way game.
